I'd say if there's any truth to it, it solidifies a bit of instability within Mrs. Talbott. That's not a personal slam against you, Gene, more of a comment about someone who would feel so strongly about someone after a few casual contacts.

Personally, I think it's pretty damn funny. It's the digital equivalent of something that would happen in High School, maybe even Middle School lol. It says alot about the maturity level of Nancy and Robbert imo. They're like a couple of giggling schoolgirls.

I got a letter from Talbott explaining that someone's account was hacked, which is why I received these weird messages:

People,
Robbert van den Broeke's skype address book has been hacked (as well as his email addresses) and various skype letters & emails are being sent out as if they come from Robbert--which they do not.
Some of the mailings are really disgusting, while others state that I am in love with various people and in need of their attention....
These are all on-going attempts to discredit either Robbert or me, or both of us, by some as-yet-unknown hacker.
Please disregard ANY skype or email that purports to come from Robbert van den Broeke--he cannot write English.

Gene, Thanks for continuing this thread. There's a lot to unpack here, so please bear with my presentations, which will be somewhat disjointed.

First on October 10, Robbert was contacted by the dead father of the Dutch murderer Joran van der Sloot. Here it is in the Dutch

To his credit. Stan van Aalst, whose real name is Stan Pluijmen, makes a confession about his life before Robbert as a good friend of Joran van der Sloot.

Below I copy an email I sent on November 9 to Colin Andrews and others who had each received gruesome images and death threats from Robbert. (The "hacked" story from Nancy is total bullshit. They came directly from Robbert, but that's an IT matter and you ought to get experts in IT to examine the alleged "hacking.")

I just read over Robbert's account of Stan's connection to Joran van der Sloot and it is much deeper than I had previously indicated. I also think it is important for us in the English speaking world to know about these events Stan's recent history because they reduce my probability of his innocence down to p = 0.1.

The background

In 2005, while on a school vacation trip, the 18 year old American girl Natalee Holloway disappears in Aruba. You can read the whole saga here on the wiki page

Joran van der Sloot is suspected of murdering her and disposing of the body. Joran is never charged and he returns to his native Holland, where in 2008 he meets and befriends a 19 year old man by the name of Stan Pluijmen at a gambling casino.

We know him as Stan van Aalst, but van Aalst is his mother's maiden name, which he now uses to escape the notoriety of his given name, Stan Pluijmen.

Joran now sits in a jail in Peru, having been convicted of murdering a young girl named Stephaney Flores in a Lima hotel on May 30, 2010. But Joran was in close Internet touch with Stan both before and after the murder. And in 2011, agents of the FBI flew to Holland to interview Stan.

According to Alvarez, the prosecution will focus on five explosive points before the three-judge panel charged with deciding the Dutchman’s fate:
  1. The surveillance tapes from the Hotel TAC, which show van der Sloot and Flores entering Room 309 of the Hotel TAC together, before Joran departs alone.
  2. Internet conversations with fellow Dutchman Stan Pluijmen in which Joran reportedly wrote that he was in Lima, without money and would do anything, including acts of prostitution, in order to raise cash. In other words, he was desperate to the point of criminality.

In regard to the theft motive, perhaps the most damning evidence is the Facebook and e-mail conversations van der Sloot had with his friend Stan Pluijmen. Joran van der Sloot reportedly told his friend he was in Lima without food or money and that he was prepared to do anything, even prostitution, to get some money. The prosecution says he did, in fact, steal money from Flores.

But now a tabloid story in Dutch about Stan trying to help Joran raise money. This takes place 2 days before the murder of Stephaney in Lima. Stan proposes to Joran that they could blackmail a gay friend of Stan's who has child pornography on his computer.

Robbert's article is not only an exoneration of Joran for the murders, but also frames Stan as a victim.

My Dutch isn't good enough to get the nuances of what Robbert is writing about Stan and Joran, but none of it puts Stan in a good light, I mean beyond the good light that of course Robbert bathes him in.

So, Constantia, I would ask you please to read over Robbert's article and tell us what new insights you may get from Stan's relationship to Joran and now his relationship with Robbert.

Thanks so much and I hope this mess will resolve soon. I know it has to "take its natural course," but it helps to know a bit more about the characters involved.

Robbert goes on YouTube (7:59) to explain the gruesome email death threats sent out from his email account 3-4 weeks ago to all individuals who had ever criticized him. Stan films the video and speaks off camera.

 
I have no doubt Robbbbert didn't send those emails. He definitely had a man next door with the exact picture of a German soldier that magically appeared on a photo! Mmmmmm....
 
I actually feel a bit sorry for him. There are plenty frauds in these fields but to have your account hacked is bad enough. Knowing someone can read your personal emails and send horrible stuff out under your name is awful.
I can't say I believe most of Robbert's claims but he has every right to expect electronic privacy with his emails and I really do feel for him, having this done to him.
 
Shifty eye much, Robbert ? He obviously hasn't read the 'How to lie' handbook. I wonder if we give this manchild more recognition than he deserves really.
