A Bit of Whining (or maybe Inappropriate Pleading)

I wrote a fairly lengthy message that I intended to post here, but the tyrannical despotism of message board technology judged it to be too long. It's something like the existential crisis of a (former) paranormal enthusiast. It's likely that the majority with disagree with its premise...

Dr. Richard Sauter talks about recent arrest

Sixty years of protest, and just this week news surfaces of the U.S. tinkering with new nuclear gadgets underground. Keep leapin' those fences, kiddos, the behemoth is nearly broken!

    Mac Tonnies Book

From what I understand, Tonnies didn't even put the 'hypothethesis' out there as a legitimate explanation, just more of a thought experiment. Obviously I'm in the minority in finding little value in the book, as it met with gloooowwwwwing reviews (a touch of nepotism, maybe). But then again...

Nick Redfern's New Book Sounds Intriguing!

I have the same reaction every time I read that comparison (which I must have seen twenty times already). The key feature of the Grey face is the eyes, and Lam's are not at all the same.

"Wonders in the Sky" - New Jacques Vallée/Chris Aubeck book coming in October

As soon as I see the Bible and UFOs in the same sentence, I head on over to youtube for funny animal videos.

Nick Redfern's New Book Sounds Intriguing!

It's definitely intriguing. There's a brand-new Roswell explanation in there, too.

Nick Redfern's New Book Sounds Intriguing!

I'm almost done reading it, and it's pretty crazy. I'm going to be pretty bitter if I am forced to become a Fundamentalist Christian because of this book.

    Jason Offutt Episode

I much preferred Binnall's interview. Apologies if I come off as another pisser-and-moaner.

    Week 34 on DMR !!

The STS-48 film never fails to amaze me. Seems like it should be of a much higher profile in Ufology, but you're the only person I ever see bringing it up.

Questions for Mark Pilkington, Author of "Mirage Men"

The "strange experiences" was a big part of what I meant (looking back at what I posted, it could look like I was saying that aliens are involved, which was not what I meant). As for the arrogance, that was aimed at a simple one-line dismissal of crop circles as being entirely mundane, as...

Questions for Mark Pilkington, Author of "Mirage Men"

On the other hand, I question the arrogant certainty possessed by one who can casually declare that there is no mystery whatsoever to the crop circle subject. Despite the fact that nearly every major researcher (believer) has been caught looking ridiculous on at least a few occasions, there...

Questions for Mark Pilkington, Author of "Mirage Men"

"why more isn't done to educate the public..." ...We're talking about crop circles, not AIDS awareness. Public education doesn't really have a place when it comes to religion.

    Mirage Men

Yeah, Bennett is at war with the proper Fortean Times crowd. I tend to agree with him that the magazine has lost its sense of the magical. But by the same token, though, Bennett goes too far in the other direction--there's an old article on the site where he tears into Stanton Friedman for...

    Mirage Men

See, my handlers were right--communicating to you AFOSI guys is tricky business.
