This AM (10-17-11) I received a note from a long-time friend of mine relaying last night's C2C program with Hoagland. Some of you may have heard this (I did not) or perhaps you didn't. As a matter of fact many of you will not even care. I thought some of you may find it of interest however. Actually, I knew Hoagland way-back-when ... when he would not DARE mention the acronym UFO. (At the time he said he did not want it to pollute his Mars work.)

This is what he asked.

"Don, I listened to Coast last night RCH was talking about a "comet" near Earth that he believes is a high tech. time capsule sent by our ancestors to uplift us during a time of cultural stress through hyper dimensional physics. He tried to take over the interview and seemed annoyed the host was not letting him filibuster.

RCH sees ruins and technology that looks like rocks to me. He finds connected threads of information contained in movies, old TV shows, ancient calendars and coded mathematical formulas.

He is either the most brilliant, insightful visionary since Di Vinci, or he is insane. Do you have any idea which?

RL"

I then answered him ...

"
RL,

Okay .. you asked ... here is my answer.

He is out of his FUCKING Mind.

Don"

He just answered me ....

"Don, One of the many qualities I admire about you and there are many is you don't verbally tip toe around anything, you speak your mind in clear, concise and concrete terms. Its probably why you are such an effective writer.

He is sounding more and more like some of the tin foil hat people that I would take in for mental evaluations. They are always so sure of their view of things and get frustrated that we less enlightened don't get it too.

I was thinking the same thing, thanks for confirming it for me.

Take care
RL"

Okay, one more SAVED ......

Nice.

IMO, Hoagland is a sociopath. The man knows right from wrong, he just knows there is a buck to be had preying on the weak and he goes after that buck.

But I don't think it is just about the money for Dick, the guy displays what I think are narcissistic qualities. He wants to be the center of attention. He is the one who has it ALL figured out.

Sometime I think he just likes to shit all over certain subjects for fun. Hoagland does for Lunar and Mars research what a turd does for a punchbowl.

*There is a plus side to all this though. For those guys new to the field who aren't discouraged by the type of BS folks like Hoagie put out, the fact that the bar has been set so damn low allows for new-comers to get into the game with less effort than before; they only gotta find better stuff than Dick, Leonard or Steckling. Sturm is out.

I actually saw a 'Sternschnuppe'/Meterioid(?) in the sky toniight. Priobably a doomsday sign, I thought of my first love .

HOAGIE tried to say that COMET ELENIN is an alien spacecraft sent here and it all has to do with 19.5 degrees that is causing people to become wiser

its a bunch of literal bullshit

Hoagie then said OCCUPY WALL STREET is being caused by 19.5 and COMET ELENIN.

It's a shame that Joseph P. Farrell continues to associate with him. I don't agree with everything he says, but Farrell's got a big piece of what's going on on a number of different levels. Very smart guy. And also too well known & prolific for RCH to plagiarize, as he's done with countless others.

RCH reminds me quite a bit of Imbrogono. The unfortunate thing about both of them is that some of their ideas are valid. They've now contaminated a number of topics & points of entry subject wise for an indeterminate length of time.

Maybe Farrell doesn't buy much of what hoagland say's and seems to be distancing himself from the crazy material that currently on about so called Eleni etc of the tin foil hat .

The UFO "research" field is like a pie. Imagine a small thin sliver cut out ( I am talking SMALL) .. that is the legitimate researchers. The rest of the pie .. (huge or most of it) is what is left.

If you are here I am sure you will know what I am saying.

As always Don, you speak truth. One of the reasons I can't wait for you and Rich to go live again with Dark Matters. Amazing work you've done and continue to do.

I just realized that of the 15 to 20 researchers / authors I read and listen to (including yourself), none of them exclusively study UFOs. They understand it's more layered, subtle, & complex than that, as you've pointed out countless times.

Hoagland sometimes gets good data (especially since a lot of it he co-opts, or outright steals from other researchers as you've pointed out on DMR), but his conclusions are so lacking that at times I wonder if he's some kind of disinfo agent. At other times he comes across exactly as Anaximander described him in post #2.

Unfortunately, personality types such as his tend to be very good at grabbing the spotlight. And when they fall down, or get caught in one of their many lies, it's the legitimate researchers that unfairly get lumped in with them by the public at large.

Hopefully the continued work & thorough research of people like yourself will help to change that.

Totally unrelated, is there any way to get a copy of Allan Sturm's e-Book anywhere? The interview you did with him and Vito Saccheri was some of the most amazing radio I've ever heard. As far as I'm concerned, The lunar enigma is the most major story of recent history. Astronomically speaking it's right around the corner!

But as they say, sometimes the best place to hide something is right in front of people.

Dr Farrell seems to have some interesting theories which would be nice to hear him on the Paracast or Dark matters and he uses references in his research material! Do I buy everything he suggests no and use your own judgments as no one has a rule book on this strange field of subjects only theories.

I don't agree with everything he says either. But who agrees 100% with anyone? He's more on point than off, and as you pointed out, he references his research material. That right there puts him head & shoulders above quite a few people in this "field".

He's also very careful to say when he's speculating on a subject, another plus.

It'd be very interesting to hear him on The Paracast & DMR. The different styles of inquiry of the two shows should make for some interesting responses from him.

Remember Hoaxland's "heart attack?" He got called out for one thing or another and all of a sudden we had the reality show bad ticker drama? When was that Don? Early '99? I seem to recall he had been called out on some dubious claim he had made, or something, and then--all of a sudden-- he was in the hospital generating get well wishes and his faux pas' (or whatever) were forgotten. ... Or when he glommed onto the Phoenix Lights sighting and organized a high-priced AZ live, SRO event in Phoenix (with its huge tix price for the 1000+ attendees)? I seem to remember he introduced Lance Davis of the "Gulf Breeze Seven" as his "Masonic scholar" who went on to validate Dicky's questionable thinking about his proposed Apollo/NASA conspiracy, the moon landings, the 32nd degree blah-blah...

I think he's to smart to come on a show where he will actually get called out and asked to verify his "facts." You have a better chance to get James Randi and the Pope to attend a tea party. :D

Yeah Chris, might have been 1999, I do remember that we did something on it in UFO Magazine. Art was still at the helm of C2C, and if my memory is still intact there was a bit of hoop-la over his illness.

I wanted to get him on DMR a bit over a year ago, contacted him on FB and invited him on. He finally got back to me that he was going to be doing a "big show" on C2C and would get back to me after that show .... yeah sure. Didn't hear back from him again. Tell ya anything?

My impression is that C2C gives him a platform to pontificate with little or no push-back. He is revered there as the "Scientific-adviser", but on your show he would just be a guest that might be asked difficult questions that can't be deflected by name-dropping and metaphor.

Oh yeah--the heart attack. !? Seems like he attributed even that to dark forces opposed to his noble crusade for truth.

For a large portion of the listening audience, the medium is the message and informational content is secondary. Hoagland is erudite and assertive. But his dots just don't connect.
