the show was a hot mess. i made it through about fifteen minutes, then switched to the Dark Matters interview with David Biedny. ah. that's better.

I miss David Biedny. But he quit and it's a free world so the show must go on. My favorite radio interviewer in the "paranormal" field is George Knapp, who seems to bring the kind of rhythm of the old radio news announcers of yesteryear, e.g., Paul Harvey (I think that was his name)...

I don't know what to think. On the one hand, I tend to trust George Knapp's instincts. But how can we not locate a single person Lazar went to college with? And it seems like Lazar can't remember any classmates either, which strikes me as bizarre to the point of either a) memory issues...

I agree about Binnall. I really like some of his guests, but Binnall's ha-ha, hee-hee-hee Woody Woodpecker meets Beavis and Butthead laugh, and, like, wow!, you know, superficial interviewing style is, I mean, sorta like, hee hee hee, super annoying. He should just let his guests interview...

I agree. Saw it, thought it was off to an interesting start, but then found myself mildly annoyed by the two leads. The selling point might be an interesting concept and amazingly thrifty execution (i.e., $11K), but that's not enough for me. I also felt somewhat let down by BLAIR WITCH...

I'm a big fan of Zhang Yimou's too. Have you seen MILLENNIUM MAMBO by the Taiwanese director Hsiao-hsien Hou? It came out in 2001, but it's superb. The opening scene is absolutely stunning. THREE TIMES also has moments of stark genius.
