Lately, I've been hearing from listeners who wish I would shut my big mouth more during the show. I've been thinking about this, and I'd like to know, how many of you wish I would talk less, and how many of you would prefer for me to leave the show completely? I've created a poll for this purpose, and if enough of you want me to leave the show, I'll be happy to oblige. No kidding here, this is your chance to make the show be exactly what you want.

Thanks DB :) I have to sneak off sometimes - although I do lurk around the forum as a 'guest' sometimes. My love of the UFO subject flip-flops from month-to-month. I've been in a UFO low-point since September...it'll take something 'big' to peak my interest again.

I vote stay as is! Also, you shouldn't bring your politics into the show less -- but more! I like hearing you complain about the status quo.

ive only just started plowing through the pile of interviews on the homepage, and i cant see any reason to change the format.
i almost feel like the hosts have been cloned from me, the focus and stance taken on the issue is almost identical to mine, and im enjoying the interviews very much.
i personally appreciate the work and effort that has gone into this project.
i read one post where someone wanted to chuck it in after a bad interview, and again can appreciate why you might feel discouraged after all the work that you put into the show,only to have a guest fail to recognise that and feed you a steaming pile of it. but identifying and knocking on the head , the null data carriers is part of the process.
the no nonsense focus of this program is what makes it valuable to me, and id rather you dismissed 10 semi plausible sources, than endorse just one phoney.
what im left with after this process is a pool of data albeit a small one that i look at with reasonable confidence as my "A" list of possibilitys.
and this bring me closer to the truth

as for complaints from others, i reckon its "clean floor syndrome" which ill explain

as a lad i used to operate a mainframe for a merchant bank (hill samuel, now maquarie bank) on the 26 th floor of the aust stock exchange building. at 2 in the morning i would go down to the lobby and see an army of cleaners polishing the marble floors, but they were long gone before the morning rush, the only time any mention was ever made of the floors was the odd occasion they didnt get cleaned.
complaints are like that they dont represent the major part of the experience , ppl will gladly complain at the drop of a hat, but are less inclined to deliver a pat on the back when things fit their expectations

if the marble was polished, people just walked all over without a second thought, you never heard someone in the lifts saying gee the floors are clean today i really appreciate that.

in the end its a democracy, but my vote is one of confidence

My vote is for more DB. You often ask the questions I would, you don't let people - even your friends - get away with BS. If I wanted to listen to two hours of oooo's and ahhhhhs I would listen to T2T. Stay, continue to voice your opinions and politics. Though to be totally honest I could do with a few less voices -- know what I mean ? :D
 
I voted more also. Dude just stop. You and Gene make a fine team.I could envision you and Gene doing this show on TV. The field needs people like you and Gene weeding out and exposing idiots and giving people who are serious researchers a voice. Your show has its own distinct vibe. If people have a problem with you then they don't have to listen. If you leave or reduce your role the show will suffer, and you'll make baby jebus cry.

My problems with the show is that I wish Gene would get a little more involved sometimes. I also wish the show was three hours. Please don't change anything, (except making it longer :))
 
If people don't like David, they should eff off and listen to C2C instead - and pay for the privilege of listening to their archived shows. I voted 'more Biedny', BTW.
 
I am a new listener and haven't yet caught up, but out of about 20 or so shows I've been able to take in I have really grown to appreciate you David. I first came as a result of Gene's sig in various web hosting locals, so originally I was psychologically pre-oriented to be listening to the "Gene and the other dude show", but it didn't take me long to see that "the other dude" is a deeply valuable contributer to the conversations and explorations.

As was said a few posts back, my vote should in no way indicate less Gene, but I vote more DB because it puts the most emphasis on defnitely NOT no David!

Also, I think you should never worry about suppressing certain of your views (the "political" comments and whatnot)... you should both be as much yourselves as possible and let the chips fall where they may... if someone doesn't like it they can take a trip into Mel's hole.
 
Blimey ... I voted to keep the format as it stands.

Even though, Sir David of Biedny you do strangely horrible but I must say fairly accurate George Snoory impersonations, I am afraid ... actually ... I'm not afraid to say it at all really ... you think in some ways as I do, and you were the first person I heard say something like (and I'm paraphrasing here) "umm ... hellooo??? ... ummm ... where's the evidence that these things (actually) come from outer space??? have you (actually) seen them fly in from beyond the stars?? ... or leave the atmosphere??? How you do (actually) know they are from off planet????" ... which really really needed to be said ... really :D

So being one of the most original thinkers in the field of whatever it is (paranormal seems so ... normal nowadays) along with Messrs Steinberg, Dolan, Tonnies, Vaeni, Ritzmann etc ... yep ... sorry to say you're right up there near the top ... I say you stay. Cos hell ... what will I do without you every week ... boohoo sob sob ... oh yeah go and listen to something less interesting probably :P
