Paranormally Disenchanted
Norio Hayakawa said in a comment on youTube:

"The sad news is that Gabe Valdez passed away at his residence in Albuquerque on August 6, 2011. He was a kind, soft-spoken and extremely likeable person. We will all miss him. With his passing, he took with him something that the public will never know. May his soul rest in peace."

Here is the video the comment appears on.

Cause of death will be something to take note of.

I wonder what he took with him

He was on up in years. Natural causes would not be a big surprise.

The OpenMinds interview may be one of his last. Like I said in the comments section of the video, it is extremely painful to listen to, not because of Mr. Valdez, but the interviewer. The interviewer insists on ignoring the very real and startling confession of Mr. Valdez that he had discovered who was responsible for the cattle mutilations and why they were doing it. The interviewer insists on talking about UFOs and aliens when Mr. Valdez is clearly stating it is of human origin. The "why" question isn't pursued as it should have been by the interviewer. From what Mr. Valdez said, it seems that he believed that it was being carried out by human beings, possibly a government agency. The only sensitive "why" that makes sense is some kind of monitoring associated with human health. All the "very confidential" and "very sensitive" redirects aren't really pursued. Does anyone have any further information about what Mr. Valdez is alluding to by those statements?

He describes finding gas masks, glow sticks, radar chaff, observing UAVs, his office being bugged, and so forth that pretty much cinches that we are talking about human, governmental agency. Otherwise, Mr. Valdez would have been able to prosecute the perpetrators. Since he says he knew who they were and why they were doing the mutilations he must have been read in and warned off. We can only hope he told someone else or wrote something that could be released.

I met Gabe back in the mid 90s through David Perkins who worked with him on the Gomez case back in the late '70s. Over the years Gabe was very close to the vest but he had recently begun voicing his personal opinions about what he thought was behind the mutes. Remember, he worked for around 5 years w/ NIDS and was privy to private data collected by Bigelow's people and this probably helped confirm his suspicions. I spoke with him at the Dulce conference and he agreed that a likely rationale for the mutes was monitoring herds for the spread of mad cow (or some other as-yet undisclosed disease). Gabe was a great guy, soft-spoken and a true gentleman. He was extremely well respected by the local communities where he was a NM tate patrolman, and I am saddened and a little puzzled about his sudden passing. He always seemed in good health and was fit for his age. I guess we'll have to wait to hear what they attribute as the "official" cause of death. It was very synchronistic that he died just after doing the open minds interview where he stated several things publicly (to my knowledge) for the first time. He will be greatly missed by his mute investigator colleagues, his family and his many friends...

It seems mad cow disease and radioactive contamination are the top two health concerns that make sense. The absolutely illegal methodology of the study they were doing doesn't make sense though. Are they continuing the study presently but purchase cattle now? Gabe said something like, "That was a mistake that they made, trying to make it look like animals or UFOs." Did they get wise and change their M.O.?

Chris, do you know of any studies attempting to correlate mutilations with concentrations of cancer or other diseases in the human population? It seems there must be something that the mutilations are directly linked to in the human population.

Also, it seems strange that Mr. Valdez continued to refuse to name the type of research being done even though the mad cow and radiation theories have been out there for sometime. Just being careful?

My only question is why all the cloak and dagger stuff to monitor herds for diseases and such? I am sure that any rancher would allow the herds to be examined (and even a couple dissected) if it would help stop a problem like that. Of course.... 'why' is a word we use very often in conversations about our government anymore. Go figger.

Absolutely.

I thought his advise for cattle mutilation investigators was extremely interesting. "Stay away from those cattle." was his response.

Chris, what did he say for the first time publicly in that interview?
