I like this guest's academic approach to the subject. Not many academics (and I grew up with a parent in Big Academia) would ever admit that they didn't know something, or publicly admit being wrong (about Chris' case as a kid).

I consider myself a skeptic about everything. Including skepticism. I hang out here because the people are nicer.

Heck, I post under my real name. I just don't understand why people can't have a civil discussion. Just because I disagree with a fellow doesn't mean I can't have an intelligent discussion with him, be friends with him, drink beer, etc.

I'm with you---the Great Pyramid is a truly fascinating structure. I think we've only just started to understand it's history and meaning. It's really one of man's greatest monuments. Is it possible there are still undiscovered cavities/rooms there? Absolutely. My advice: save your pennies...

Places where it can be concisely documented that one or more people have committed suicide---that's my recommendation. My only ghost sighting was of a suicide, at the site where the poor dude did himself in.

I thought this was a sad episode. If this fellow represents the 'cutting edge' of ufology, and the group he represents is among the best out there, then the field may as well shut down, or give itself over whole-hog to the crazies. Honestly, his A-level team went on site, supposedly saw ET...

after I cleaned out my britches, that's probably what I'd say, too. The paranormal/fortean realm is really interesting, and almost endlessly intriguing-----until it happens to you. (At least in my personal experience) Then, it scares the crap out of you.
