WTF Happened To Joseph Farrell?

Sighing Flosser

Skilled Investigator
I used to be a HUGE fan of Joseph Farrell. Had all his books. Listened to all his interviews - especially all his Byte Show conversations. I was disappointed when he suddenly became a Trump supporter the day after the 2016 election, but c'est la vie. Kept following him. However, in the last few months, he's begun to push these insane Covid-19 conspiracy theories, for which he provides zero evidence or documentation. He's saying the virus was released as part of a deep state operation to bring down Donald Trump.

He's saying that Dr. Fauci very likely engineered the virus himself, in Wuhan China, and he was responsible for its release. He's saying nano-tech particles have been found in the genetic makeup of the virus, but that this scientific information has been suppressed by the media. He's saying Bill Gates stepped down from Microsoft in 2014 in order to oversee the global spread of the virus. But, at the same time, he's also saying Covid-19 isn't nearly as dangerous as the media is making it out to be, so he refuses to wear a mask when he goes out.

He claims that the virus thrives in low oxygen environments, and if you wear a mask you're inhaling less oxygen, therefore if you wear a mask you're more likely to get the virus. Evidence? No. This is also a guy who loves to point out every fringe study that reports smoking cigarettes is good for you. Last time I checked, inhalation of tar and tobacco smoke does not tend to encourage or aid oxygenation of the body.

I've wondered for years about Dr. Farrell's background. He's mentioned his education, schools he attended, including Oxford. He's talked about a few teaching jobs he's held, as well as a job at a radio station. But, according to Dr. Farrell in various interviews, none of those jobs lasted for more than three or four years. I get the impression that there's a period of time between getting his doctorate and the beginning of his writing career that he doesn't talk about.

He's talked to some extent about his religious beliefs (Eastern or Russian Orthodox Church, I believe), but he's never mentioned to what extent, if any, his religious beliefs influence his research and suppositions. Or, if he's worked for any religious organizations since obtaining his doctorate. He's also curiously one of the only researchers in the ufo/paranormal/alt-science fields who's never mentioned having a wife, or an ex, or a girlfriend or boyfriend, or a partner, or a significant other, etc.

I'm not suggesting or implying anything by all this, other than that perhaps Dr. Farrell's religious convictions and affiliations have been a bigger influence on his research, writings, and commentary on world events than he's admitted. In a recent interview on Fireside Chats he sounded as if he'd taken personal offence to Dr. Fauci's suggestion that people should continue to avoid congregating in churches for the time being, and should not receive communion. I can think of very good reasons to follow that suggestion.

I certainly don't trust all the news, but if there's even a slim chance that I could pass the virus along to someone else who dies as a result, I want to do whatever I can to make sure that doesn't happen. And if there's a slim chance that wearing a mask will prevent that, I'll wear a fucking mask. It's actually pretty easy.

Dr. Farrell is apparently unwilling to see the virus as anything but a plot against Republicans and Christians, and he's pushing a politically driven conspiracy theory because it's also ringing his religious outrage bell. So he disregards everything else about the virus - especially scientific facts, unless they suit his conspiracy theory based supposition. It's wreckless of him. I used to think Dr. Farrell was the smartest researcher out there, period. Now I think I need to reassess his work.

We were just talking about the same sort of descent into the Twilight Zone with Timothy Good on the latest Stephen Bassett thread. When it comes to Farrell, I find him interesting to ponder, but have always considered him to be out on the fringe, a creator of colorful docufictional conspiracy theories. He's out there with Strieber IMO, but more prolific. All very interesting from an objective cultural perspective.

When it comes to COVID-19 conspiracies, the one I think is actually happening is a not so cold, cold-war between the West and China's CCP, and that COVID-19 had help from a lab, probably the one in Wuhan that has been suspected all along. I also don't think it's beyond the realm of possibility that the trouble the West ( particularly the USA ) is having stomping it out is because there are CCP agents helping to spread it in combination with substandard ( deliberately or otherwise ) made in China protection.

Can we prove any of that? Isn't plausible deniability wonderful? I don't know if we'll ever know the real truth, but what has been consistent all along is that we have been told everything, and there has been consistent political damage control by the CCP, to the point where now just suggesting that COVID-19 originated in a Chinese lab results in accusations of racism. That overreaction alone is IMO a telltale sign that they're hiding something.

It's a legitimate question, but one person from the U.S. government who should be trusted, Dr. Anthony Fauci, a world famous immunologist, says, no, it didn't originate in a lab, based on its generic makeup. Since he has no fears of contradicting his boss in the Oval Office, I'd take his words seriously.

Agreed.

Except, I don't think they'd need to send agents to help spread the virus. There are so many people who refuse to wear masks. Substandard masks - that's interesting. Definitely plausible.

Was there ever a time when Timothy Good didn't insist that George Adamski's scout ship photographs are real? As in, actual photographs of large flying saucer crafts piloted by extraterrestrials? I think as far back as the early 90s, he's been saying that.

The substandard safety equipment has been proven. The covert agents are a possibility that would explain some of the more odd breakouts as well as reinfections in areas where it's been under control. It's also a theory that's been floating around for a while and the President has alluded to the possibility in a roundabout way.

Given the situation, are we expected to believe that the US security agencies haven't also considered this as a real possibility? It would be derelict of them not to. It also wouldn't be the first time biowarfare agents have been used. The US tested out deployment methods on it's own citizens, and it's far and away more concerned with its citizens rights than the CCP.

I don't actually know the answer to that question, but it does make you wonder. How could someone write something as matter of fact as Beyond Top Secret and work with CUFOS and still believe the Adamski story? I dunno. Curiouser and curiouser.

Personally, I've thought Farrell was nonsensical and irrational from day one. I could never figure out why some people fawned over him.

His Nazi bell stuff was laughable, for instance. I couldn't finish his "Brotherhood and the Bell" book - heck, I could barely get through a quarter of it. So many factual errors and nonsensical conjecture just made me drop it.

He seems totally fantasy prone.

Very interesting. I have to say I still don't know how. You Americans pronounce the 45th President s name Trump? I spell it c*nt.
I am surprised that Joseph is a supporter of the 45th President ( owner of a Russian whore) and bringer of disaster.

As much as folks hate the U.S. President Donald Trump from across the border you should be more concerned whats coming for your own nation. U.S. is going through a testing period as its done in history since its Independence and those keep knocking it . You might get what you wish for and the alternative is not what you will be expecting. On Dr. Farrell he just like everyone else has his own mind and 'cancel culture' will not bring the utopia you all are seeking.

My own NATION which is the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and in fact was the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland from 930 ad until 1922....is governed by another ass hole called Boris Johnson or as we call him Donald light,As I have told my wife who is from Texas I would have no problems taking my trousers down and pissing all over it because I believe at this moment in time it is were the scum of the earth exists.

Lol.

I'll be concerned about what I want to be concerned about. And having an orange buffoon running your country next door whipping everything up into a frenzy while hundreds of thousands of you dying of covid while peddling insane conspiracy theories instead of science is fairly high on this canuck's list.

Like Donald Trump and the republicans don't practice their own 'cancel culture?' Oh, that's right - for them it's 'lie, slander and deny reality culture.' 'We-claim-to-believe-in-democracy-but-in-reality-we-only-want-republicans-to-be-in-charge-and-fuck-everybody-else culture.'

Interestingly, cancel culture actually just is free market capitalism in action.

Funny how they don't like it when capitalism is used against them, or has a downside. Sounds pretty socialist of them.

I was just thinking this morning, the Goya boycott is free market freedom of speech. Owner of Goya has the right to say what he wants to say. Customers have the right to reply, both vocally and with their wallets.

Trumpians only like capitalism when it keeps the status quo. That's what conservatism is really about - keeping power and money where it's at. Not about capitalism, democracy, or anything else. All of those claims from the GOP and especially Trump is just a distraction.

There's a reason the GOP crowned an overweight old white dude that's bankrupted himself many times, committed fraud, been accused more than 24 times of sexual assault (and has admitted to it), had his company found guilty for racist practices, and yet still is allowed to spend hundreds of millions of other people's money to maintain the illusion of wealth as it's god emperor. It's because Trump isn't the problem to them - he's the template for how they want the world to work. They get to rape (literally) and pillage (literally) and live like kings (literally) on other people's back (literally) and that's the natural order of things (literally).

This isn't capitalism vs socialism. This is feudalism vs democracy.

What would be funny in all this if it weren't so scary and sad is that the vast majority of Trumpians freely give up their free will, live poorer, and are often the most harmed by what they want - simply because Trump gives the impression that he's hurting the people they don't like more.

In the words of one former Trump supporter... "He's not hurting the people he's supposed to be." ("He’s not hurting the people he needs to be": a Trump voter says the quiet part out loud).

This is quite literally how fascism and populism works.

I was just trying to follow the politics on this thread when I realized that nobody has hit on the real reason, which is that all they really want to do is perpetuate the truth embargo. Unless the aliens happen to find us as interesting as we find David Attenborough, Earthly politics is probably a very long way down their list of things that matter. Politicians all know that they can't let that happen to them, so they've created these institutions to confound us from the truth. That's what it's all about.

I find that totally plausible. I mean, humanity isn't actually in control of the secrecy. They are, whatever "they" are. They could land on the white house lawn (or parliament would probably be safer right now), and the secrecy would be over. They don't do that.

I think human politicians have just realized (at least in the US) that secrecy is power - it gives the perception of control, it allows them to sidestep their inability to control our airspace, and you can give the illusion that you have technology secrets to your enemies to frighten them.

That sounds really plausible. As for what they want from secrecy, who knows - but because they're not engaging with us in a political sense (an individual way instead), they probably don't care about our politics at all. Unless they're time travelers, in which case they know our politics better than we do, which would also disinterest them most likely.

I don't know. When the president can't even keep his mouth shut about classified state secrets with supposedly adversarial foreign leaders, there's no way he could keep quiet about extraterrestrials. Especially right now with his poll numbers so dismal. He's so desperate to say something that people will latch onto, if he was privy to any information about a truth embargo, he would've spilled it by now.

A truth embargo on certain types of clean and/or free energy technology, maybe. That would be an easier secret for Donald to keep, because he wouldn't understand the science and would probably forget shortly after he'd been briefed.

I would imagine that the intelligence and military apparatus by know has learned not to tell Trump 90% of what goes on, because he doesn't understand it, and then he either ignores it or reacts like a temperamental 3 year old to it.

Plus, 90% of what Trump is given he appears to ignore or is incapable of understanding, so if you add that up, he likely only knows 1% - or less - what's actually going on.
