I was going to post this in the Musical Interests thread but then I thought, no; I want this thread to be all about our wishes and desires hence the title.

When you're done sticking your fingers down your throat :) please join in.
Sometimes when we need a lift it might be inspirational.
So I will kick off with this, and I wish I was Edgar in this one.

Clever bastard,

Mark

Done this, been there, even bought the T-shirt but man what would I give to do it all again,

This is a show I have to see.
Dave Grohl,(foo fighters, nirvana), Josh Homme(Queens of the stone age, kyuss), and John Paul Jones(led zep)
Thought this might fit in this thread Dusty.
The band is called
"Them Crooked Vultures"

Oh yeah and 'Elephants'

They started touring before the album dropped so there's plenty o' bootleg live footage that sounds like kaka.
Wish I could afford to go see the leg of the Germany tour.

It's no good I cant resist any longer,

I want loads of these. Thanks for the tip dB :)

Yeah, thanks for that Dave, Dusty, I've spent way too much time on that site, it's so well presented, and the FX are amazing.
I think it deserves it's own thread.
I mass e-mailed that one to my musician-buddy, collective, and received a lot of high praise for being the introductory conduit to the site.
I now pass the accolades on to you.

If you ever stumble across an 'Austone' pedal, you might want to give it a try. They were all hand-made, each component individually tested, by Jon Bessent. He was the go-to guy for tube-amp repairs and mods in Austin. I only found out recently that he went to jam with Jimi.
I have one of his "Textone Fuzz-Nut" pedals and I'll never let it go.
Z-vex does make some good stuff, too. I wish I was rich.

Got my Guns N Roses tickets today. Seventh row seating, January 24, 2010 Copps Coliseum, Hamilton. Fuck Yeah!

I think foundrymans onto something,

We definitely need a guitar porn thread, but while I'm here I just gotta tell you all yesterday I got real lucky. I had to take the day off to look after my daughter (tonsillitis) and no that's not her name, and a good friend of mine happened to call to pick my brains about what I thought a 1974 Orange OR80 2x12 combo might be worth.
I said I wasn't sure but as I was sitting in front of the computer I looked on ebay and found one for sale from a dealer in Doncaster and the buy it now price was £1699.
I told him and he was very surprised so we chatted a little longer and at one point I said I would love to buy it from him but I couldn't get anywhere near that price so he responded by saying " Mark I would far rather it went to a mate and someone who will put it to good use so how does £500 grab you".
SOLD I said, so he even offered to bring it over which he did and I'm now the proud owner of this classic bit of kit.

With my main guitar

Obviously needs a few things like grille logo and banner badge, corner protectors and a knob for the reverb but it sounds awesome.

Incidently this guy would be interesting to many of you. His name is Richard Pendell and he is a model maker and he has made some things for TV shows that we are all familiar with like the Thunderbirds, Tracy island, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang those Transporter things on Space1999 oh yeah and Joe 90's car amongst other things. He's also an amazing guitar builder, just check this out.

My one. I like Tanks check out the inlays.

Anyway getting back to the point of this thread, and to mark the passing of dear
Mac Tonnies here's something else I wish I could do. I bet he's up there right now.

God bless you Mac,

Mark

Dusty, you sly devil!

That is some sexy orange ampage!

I second the guitar porn thread.

This is what I've been drooling over lately, the Hughes and Kettner Triamp MK 2.

Sooooooo nice, they have one at the local music shop and I play with it every time I'm there.

http://www.hughes-and-kettner.com/products.php?id=1&mode=prod

The head alone is roughly $1500 bucks, I could trade in my WR1 for it, but then I'd be down to one guitar and no floyd rose. :(

Yeah that's nice Methshin,

Must say though we used a different guitarist recently and he had either that amp or a prevoius model and although tone is a very subjective thing it just didn't cut it live.
I guess we're just boring old hippies but for that crunch sound or great lead tone it's very hard to beat the old JCM 800 or 900 Marshalls.

Having said that look ouy for one of these,

Just look at all those preamp tubes  and if David reads this thread, please do tell.
In his words this is Secret kit so shhh dont tell! :)

Is than old X-100B? If so they're great amps. Zappa and Vai used them. The only problem that I'm aware of with them is that the tube-sockets are mounted to the PCB and if a power-tube blows it can kill the whole circuit.
