What is a Corporate, Fascistocracy?

Occasionally on the Paracast. I hear Chris O Brian warn us that the United States is a
corporate, fascistocracy. I don't know how to type Corporate fascistocracy to be a read able statement. But over the last 36 years I developed a belief that one way to have a less violent but corrupt government. Is to misteach your children about the basics of how your society really works. For example I learned in High school that the United States is a democracy, but my local Rush Limbaugh clone says we are really a Constitutional Republic. Thanks for reading my rant.

The fascistocracy now also spied on the European Union diplomats and there where bugging devices found in Nato , Brussels.

The term I use is "fascist corporatocracy." This is an attempt to define the undue political influence that the money, power and influence of multinational corporations exert over our supposed "democratic" process. Look at how many congressional representatives become multi-millionaires after being elected to congress. This should tell you something about the corrupt nature of our subverted political system.

Corporate influence on government is IMO a lesser ( but still significant ) problem. The problem that affects virtually everyone except those who are either unemployed or self-employed on a day to day basis is the internal politics of their employers, which is generally nothing less than a corporate autocracy that treats people like property and barely even pays lip service to employment legislation, and if an employee dares to point out that their corporate masters are breaking the rules ( even their own rules ), suddenly that employee finds themselves out of a job, and here in Alberta Canada, employers aren't even obligated to inform anyone as to why, which helps them avoid prosecution, and makes it harder for the unemployed to claim any benefits. This is creating a situation where the higher up one gets in company the more corrupt it gets, not that that is anything new, but now it's worse than ever because of the systematic union busting that's been going on for years. Not that I'm any big fan of unions ( I'm not ). Hypothetically, if management were fair, we shouldn't need unions. Unfortunately that's seldom the case. I once had an acquaintance who worked for Starbucks who said that if you so much as breathed the word "union" you'd find yourself dissmissed "without cause".

I think the word that best sums it up is this: Plutocracy

I totally think the expression describes an actual state of affairs.

It is a source of agony to me seeing groups of angry people joing the Tea Party or similar movemets hoping they will solve their problems. It's the fascist corporatocracy who is behind it: make the people on low income fly flags that the business owner should pay less taxes and be allowed to pollute the planet.
What a bunch of completely brainwashed tools. Horror.

Democracy and government includes governing. If you don't do that, ruthless individuals (who can't not be elected!) will run the show. That's the law of the jungle. Democracy is an antidote to the jungle law.

Public attitudes about corporate America have undergone drastic changes in my lifetime. They were once (in olden times ;) )regarded as the engines driving our democracy and facilitators of a prosperous American middle class. They are increasingly seen as self-serving global entities with little or no allegiance to any country, or even a particular ideology. We get a feeling that regardless of who wins office, we never know who is really at the helm. This disconnect is not good.
 
Wasn't it Howard Zinn that said something along the lines of "There has always been a large conflict of interest between the people of the United States and thier government"? I suppose I could always google it, but nevertheless I believe that rings fairly true to this day.
 

The following article explains how the original
"Constitution for the united states for America"
was in 1871, changed to the
"THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA".
If this impostor is the source of our modern day problems, repealing it could be the simple solution as well.
I am a neophyte of this topic but find it most interesting. Hopefully, some other DPs will help confirm the accuracy of this historical event and bring additional understanding to the fore.

The Congress realized our country was in dire financial straits, so they cut a deal with the international bankers — (in those days, the Rothschilds of London were dipping their fingers into everyone's pie) thereby incurring a DEBT to said bankers.
If we think about banks, we know they do not just lend us money out of the goodness of their hearts. A bank will not do anything for you unless it is entirely in their best interest to do so. There has to be some sort of collateral or some string attached which puts you and me (the borrower) into a subservient position. This was true back in 1871 as well.
The conniving international bankers were not about to lend our floundering nation any money without some serious stipulations. This corporation, owned by foreign interests, moved right in and shoved the original "organic" version of the Constitution into a dusty corner. With the "Act of 1871," our Constitution was defaced in the sense that the title was block-capitalized and the word "for" was changed to the word "of" in the title. The original Constitution drafted by the Founding Fathers, was written in this manner:

A democracy is a system where the majority rules and can impose their will over a minority of citizens. A republic has a constitution or bill of rights where a government cannot revoke certain inalienable rights. It remains to be seen what sort of system the citizens of the US live in these days.

I do find it very interesting how many times I hear people call America a Democracy... I have to wounder how this came about because I thought America was supposed to be a Representative Republic built on Democratic principles ..
