What I've come to understand about things like facts and alternative facts is that there can be many realities and varying approaches to what truth is.

I would point to the surrealist state of the union address that had no real.basis in reality. People rose and stood for it and got kicked out and yelled back at him. Everyone has their version of events and it doesn't really matter anymore what truth actually is.

Depends what level of mind one is describing, and what level of mind one is speaking from, not so? There are nuances perhaps. Truth does matter, very much. For many Americans the speech was a resounding success for a variety of reasons. For some others maybe not so much, but either way what took place is a fact in time, not so? But it spoke to different levels of mind ... I just made up this term 'levels of mind' in the moment while writing this, I didn't want to get technical and it seemed like a serviceable phrase to get the point across. Hope I succeeded.

- Pretty sure the rider needs a shadow.
- The rider should not be silhouetted.
- You’re right they don’t have shadows.
- And the rider should not be silhouetted.
- Why is rider in shadow, and not under tree yet?
- The sunlight is coming from high and slightly to the right, so his back is getting no sunlight. It feels right to me, anyway.
- The horse creates its own shadow.
- Maybe the sun is high & the riders shadow is blending into the horse's shadow.
- Everything casts a shadow in sunshine.
- The rider doesn't have a shadow, only the horse.
- Great perspective, fine detailing , road, horse/rider, trees and shadows and leaves ..very rich.
- The horse and rider make their own shadow.
- Is this a painting, its very realistic.
- Proportions are wrong.
- Excellent rendering.

With respect to "The Gatekeepers", ( great title for a movie BTW ), it kinda begs the question: Who are they? Or maybe — were they ( past tense ) ?

For all we really know — After the 1947 flap was over, the aliens hung about here and there 'till the mid 70s, then left, and the original gatekeepers took all the Golden Age evidence with them to their graves. Now all that's left is our own high-tech secret stuff ( drones or whatever ). Who really knows?

Also, think of the intelligence headaches it would cause if we suddenly disclosed we had alien tech and bodies. We would become an espionage target for every other country on the planet. Not saying we actually have them, but....
