The Milo Speriglio Show! Huh?

It was a brutally hot August night in 1994 here in Southern California, and my in studio guest (on UFOs Tonite!) was Mr. Milo Speriglio, Private Detective to the Stars. Starting at the Nick Harris Detective Agency in 1959, Speriglio was involved in thousands of different types of investigative cases. He was best known for his investigations into the death of screen legend Marilyn Monroe and wrote several books on the case.

Several weeks prior to this broadcast Speriglio was seen all over the tube touting a document he had come into possession of, allegedly a secret government document written one day prior to Monroe's death, discussing among other things, a UFO case in New Mexico (probably Roswell) that she alledgedly heard about from her lover, President John F. Kennedy or possibly Attorney General Robert Kennedy. (She was seeing both romantically)

On this edition of UFOs Tonite, we took an indepth look at that "flavor of the week."

Later on I became very confident that this document was fraudulent, and as a matter of fact I am confident I know who manufactured it. However this blast from the past is, in my opinion, a fascinating look into how things make the rounds in that circus that is UFO research.

Speriglio died in 2000 from lung cancer so I never did find out how he would have reacted to my research into this document, but Milo Speriglio was a fascinating guy and I really enjoyed this show.

Thanks Don

Found this show really fascinating too.

Don, would you have the motivation to detail some of your research into the document? Why do you think its fraudulent, and who do you think created it and why?

What do you make of this?

The writer of that article claims the CIA inadvertently authenticated the document by denying a FOIA request based on the document and not denying the existence of the document.

Seems a bit sketchy to me, but I would be curious to hear your take on it.

To make a long story short, I was invited to fly back to New Jersey to speak about my lunar research by Pat Marcatilio <sp?> in the late 90's. This was at a point when I was writing a book on lunar phenomena. At anyrate, Ingo Swan came down to hear what I had to say and afterwards a number of folks in his group and I all met back at Ingo's room for a BS session. One of the guys there was an expert in research on Govt. docs. and on hoaxed documents. I mentioned the Marilyn document and the show I did with Milo and he told me the name of the guy that supposedly manufactured the doc. I knew who the guy was and knew his background and I was convinced this made more sense than anything else. This guy was connected to some other folks who had "discovered" gov. docs. over the years, questionable docs. I might add, so in my mind it made the case for me. However, if I had to go into court to testify about this it would be hearsay so I do not think I should reveal his name now. Just let me state that I am 99% certain this doc. is fraudulent, and 99% know who made it.

The fact that it has an MJ-12 reference in it makes it fraudulent for me as I think that has been pretty thoroughly debunked.

My favourite part of this show was when the guuy called up saying he had information but he wouldnt reveal how or where he got it. Then you just cut him off and said write to me at the magazine. I burst out with laughter at that point... you always seem to get at least 1 crazy call per episode. :D
