I've known Jan for almost 20 years and personally feel he is an excellent choice to bring MUFON back from the brink. He's a very smart, informed and passionate about the subject of UFOs.   • What official position on alien visitation will you be endorsing? For Clarification: By alien visitation, I mean visitation by craft and/or beings from beyond the boundaries and constructs of our global civilization, including secret projects by any known nation, but not necessarily extraterrestrial or nonhuman.
  • What is your personal position on alien visitation?
  • Have you ever seen something you have good reason to believe was an alien craft yourself?
  • Can you briefly describe how the money MUFON receives is allocated between management, research and operations?
  • Do you have any plans to eliminate accusations of pseudoscience against MUFON, for example by improving the MUFON motto, which implies that MUFON studies UFOs in a manner that meets the standards of the scientific community, but which is obviously impossible due to a lack of sufficient evidence. Or does MUFON have sufficient evidence and capacity to meet to those standards? If so, please tell us more.
  • Do you plan on making any changes to MUFON's political structure or policies? If so what are they?
  • MUFON calls itself a "network". What is your vision for how MUFON should network with other UFO interest groups to help unite the ufology community?
  • What efforts are you making to get young people involved in ufology?
  • What is your vision for the future of ufology?

In your opinion, what's the most plausible explanation for what the UFO enigma might represent? Of course, I refer to the cases which can't be clearly identified.

  • What is your personal opinion on official government disclosure as a future possibility?
  • As the new director of MUFON, do you feel much needs to be changed in order to propell the organisation into a brighter future?
 
Dear Gene and Chris, please could you ask mr Harzan:

(1) what is the strongest or best "UFO" case/(s) he knows about?

(2) If for one day he could have unlimited funds, the highest command and the highest security clearance (to all governments files and buildings). Where he would start and how would he deploy his resources?*

Also if there is such a thing, what is the "official" MUFON position regarding "hypnotic regression" and the evidence gathered using it, if there is no "official" position, what is his personal opinion on the matter?

Are you prepared to make statement condemning the Hoaxing of UFO and alien footage by Blake cousins and thirdphaseofmoon?
dose entertainment shows like coast to coast AM and Art Bell do the field a disservice?
 
What in your opinion needs to be done in order for ufology to finally be taken seriously in the mainstream media? There have been so many efforts in the last 50 years but very little progress. Do you see this trend continuing or do you perhaps foresee some kind of significant breakthrough?

Also, which world government (if any) do you think is most likely to disclose the presence of ufo's?

I was a member of MUFON for 1 year way back in the 1970s. I ended my association with MUFON due to all the crackpots and cultists who have caused so much damage to serious, scientific and scholarly UFO research.

Having CULT LEADER, Steven Greer speak at your July convention DOES NOT bring credibility to MUFON. For your information Outside Magazine published an extensive expose of Greer and his antics as far back as 1994. Go to google punch in Steven Greer Outside article, click on google search and the article should come up.

I have only a few questions. When is MUFON going to get rid of the crackpots in your group, get rid of ALL cultists INCLUDING Greer AND CLEAN UP YOUR ACT?

With the greatest respect I think what the above poster was trying to say was this:

Dear Gene and Chris, please would you ask Mr Harzan what his feelings are on "steven greer" and also his (greers) speaking at a MUFON convention?

also please could you ask Mr Harzan to talk about what kind of measures and procedures are in place to prevent members of MUFON being "troubled" by cultists? e.g a non recruitment to other organisations policy.

Sorry could not help but stick my oar in. :)
 
I'm still new to the Forums. I hope you ask what might seem to be an obvious question to tomorrow's guest? Or has it already been recorded? Here goes: I'd like to hear many more details regarding his and his brpther's close encounter when they were very young. -- Lou
