Phil Donahue owns O'Reilly

Thanks for that.

Fox News always makes me sick, but I appreciate it nonetheless. The damage done by the endless politicization of every aspect of our lives can't be ignored.

I'm on cindy's side, but I do wonder, would she be doing all this, if her son still lived? I tried to tell people I knew, before hand, not to go fight, but oh well. They said, "I'm going to fight for my country!"... Well, how about fighting for humanity instead of insanity? Btw, I don't consider myself an American, even tho I live there. So, those few that want to call me unpatriotic, can go swallow a parrot. Oh, you already have. And a sheep too.

PS. Phil Donahue ever age? Or my memory bad? Both?

Glad you all liked the vid. I was worried about the antipolitical people flaming. But that didnt last, since I remembered I'm not into politics, and don't have to discuss politics, with people that gripe about discussing it..... No sense of irony with some I guess.

Donahue clearly got the best of O'Reilly, but I hope Cindy can eventually be left alone. She was used on this board to gloat over a political "gotcha" just like she has been used by special interest groups ever since she came on the scene. She offered little of substance to the discussion, but at least initially was an unassailable vehicle to tug at the public's heartstrings and promote her backer's point of view.

There were hundreds of other mothers of fallen sons who said Cindy didn't speak for them, but their voices were largely ignored. It became clear to them that the moral authority of grieving parents was correct and unimpeachable, but only if they opposed the president.

But Cindy was the media darling because she could be used to embarass the president and nobody wanted to be seen criticising the mother of a fallen son. But her rants became increasingly more shrill, hateful, incoherent and laced with anti-Semitism. It got to the point where even the left was embarassed since she was seen as a reflection of them too. She was used by the right to show that the left was driven by emotion and just plain nuts. She was used by the left to promote their anti-war and anti-Bushpoint of view. Among her believed funding and support was the Socialist Worker Party, Communist Party, Soros/Moveon, Ben Cohen of Ben & Jerry's, the Young Communist League, Young Democratic Socialists, the Democratic Underground and the Feminist Peace Network. In the meantime, while this woman was being used by people who really couldn't care less about her personal loss, we watched her lose her family, credibility and sanity as she self-destructed.

"There were hundreds of other mothers of fallen sons who said Cindy didn't speak for them, but their voices were largely ignored. It became clear to them that the moral authority of grieving parents was correct and unimpeachable, but only if they opposed the president."

Because it was far too painful for them to admit their children died in vain.
Until this woman came along, all we got was a steady diet of the dead were heros.

Ok, Ok, I know this is not a political forum, but NONETHELESS, in response to this video I say to Billy Boy: My son served honorably in Iraq, and you're a coward, Billy, just like Phil says. And what I want to know is this: this jerk, this unspeakable ass, this loudmouth Billy Boy: Tell us ALL ABOUT your PHONE SEX ESCAPADE, Billy. Now, granted, what politician of EVERY STRIPE hasn't engaged in "values" hypocrisy while purporting to represent US, but this video has me steaming. Phil kicked his cowardly ass. But the bottom line for me is the total worthlessness of 99% of EVERY politician, media/tabloid "celebrity," current candidate for the presidency of whatever party (why the heck aren't the senators and reps among them in Washington doing their darn jobs instead of raising MILLIONS in illicit funds?), and "journalist" from liberal to far right wing ass like O'Reilly. They all get rich spouting and spewing from right and left, and we're ALL the idiots, essentially, left holding the bag in one way or the other.

Your opinion. At the very least, the people of Iraq have been given a chance for self-determination that they never would have had under Saddam. And the future under Uday and Qusay didn't offer much hope. The next generation will be a better judge as to whether this was the biggest blunder in US history or a lucky break that gave the Iraqis a chance to build a responsible government.

Now that I posted my above comment, I'm already regretting it, not because I don't believe what I said but because this isn't meant to be a ranting and raving (and I accuse ONLY myself of that!) political discussion forum. It's the PARACAST, for heaven's sake, Kim! But damn, it felt good for a minute there. But WHY did I hit the post button??!! I loved that video, but darn my impulsiveness. And now you all know where I live (from my let's all identify ourselves more post!). What an idiot! Kim

Nothin' wrong w/ politics, unless of course Gene and David have decided there is no room for it.

We are going to have the children of the estimated 1 million dead Iraqis coming after us for decades. I don't think they've been too impressed with the opportunity at democracy (IE. .free mkt capitalism, where, you guessed it, they lose and the multinationals win). The idea of the next generation being better able to judge just what a major fu%k up this thing is, is the same as the Pres uses. And we all know how great his logic works. Nope, if you get drunk, go out, run over an old lady and smash up your car, you don't need your grandkids to come along some day and tell you that you really screwed up. There's no time like the present.

O'Reilly is a foul, hateful coward, and he can't get enough of a smackdown, for my money.

Put me in a room with him and a baseball bat, and I'd beat the living daylights out of him. He is the prototypical modern American fascist, and you can be damned sure that he's going for the power, pissing on all of us and laughing all the way to the bank. He has no heart or soul, and I'd love to hand him over to the Iraqi people and let them render justice unto him.

Yeah, I know that these forums are not supposed to be about politics, but fuck it.

The extreme right has no problems being bullies, invoking the most hateful shit imaginable, and then they attack the left for expressing their rage. I say, fuck these bastards, they are deeply mired in the downfall of everything that was ever positive about this country, and I for one will not cower from them.

Actually, what I heard in this clip was two loons going after each other, and I'm not enamored with either one of them. They are both opportunists and entertainers and not newsmen. This is no better than the WWF.

But David, how do you really feel?
It is damn time that left, right or center stand up to the grand myths that these people have created since Sept.11, 2001. Grief, rage and sarrow are all legit where that event was concerned, but unbridled stupidity and zenophobia are not.
I don't intend for these statements to be about anyone involved with the paracast forums. All and all, we're an open minded bunch. I'm referring to the folks at costco, picking up the plasma big screen to watch the war, and grabbing a 12lb bag of cheetos to go with it. . .aaaaarrrrrggghhhh.

I thought that Phil was absolutely right on the money. I love the fact that he brought up Jeremy Glick - when I saw how O'Fuckly spoke to him, I wanted to reach through the TV and snap his neck. I really liked the way that Phil pointed out that loud does not equate to right. O'Scumly is nothing more than a bully, and should be beaten down by actual humans at every opportunity.

He takes the posture they pay him to take, David. Don't confuse either Donahue or O'Reilly with people who deliver or attempt to deliver factual information. It's all an act. If the checks came from different sources, no doubt they'd be arguing the opposite points of view with equal fervor.

Who's paying Phil these days? He have a show?

Anyway, I posted another O-reily vid awhile back some of you would like. I'll go try and find it.

/edit. Can't find it. Anyway it deals with him threatening to sue a caller for mentioning some guys name. He censored the guy. I know very little about Bill, but what little I do know, I hate. It's like he's Bush's twin, or his bitch.

That was absolutely pricess too. The caller brought up Kieth Olberman over on MSNBC, and O'really went ape-shit. I was listening live and it was really one of highlights of my life.
I'm a masochist, I listen to and watch O'really when ever I can. It's become more difficult, as I'm in Arizona and I think he got pulled from all of the stations.
For the record, I think he's his bitch. In the end, he's more unstable than anything else. His is a 21st century brand of McCarthyism that will go down in the history books as nasty lesion on the butt of American media (and that's saying a lot!).
