Skilled Investigator
It just occurred to me that Dorothy could be somehow stopping the film from rolling mechanically and drawing the images in the air with a faint light. Has this been ruled out?

I would think there might be evidence of something like that in the frames themselves.

Im no expert though.

That can't happen without ruining the entire reel. There is no way she could do that individually with a frame as small as Super 8mm and it not ruin any clarity in the image. For example: We see some crazy strikes but still see hints of the surroundings the "Craft" is in. Super 8 frames are so small that I find it hard to believe she could be drawing light on the frames.... I could be wrong though. Where there's a will there's a way.

I was thinking the film stays IN the camera. The camera is set up in a dark room, and dorothy draws the light with a small glowing object in said room. Then, unloads the camera in the dark room and repackages the film for later use as "new" film.

My question is: How easy would it be to mechanically stop the film on one frame without damaging it. I'll it's bet not that difficult.

I'm suspicious about much of that 8mm film footage too...although overall she seems to me perhaps the most 'real' deal out there after watching the DVD.

Multiple camera's recording simultaneously ...HD video, 8mm film, still digital, kodachrome, stereoscopic lenses...whatever! Why hasn't anyone done that??? Seems so obvious.

I hope somebody figures it out because I bought the stupid DVD after listening to the episode. Not one spec of anything that convinces me that there is anything there that is not contrived somehow.

I predict that this case - and everything about it - will vanish. Izzat is very old, and the family is not letting anyone besides the dickhead doc director and that shmuck who wrote the book about her, have access to her or the materials. This one might have been compelling, but it's dead in the water, so forget about it. I certainly have.

It's such a shame that Peter Guttilla is a Sociopath...
Anyway if I had the machine I'd offer her family free of charge the task of digitizing the Super 8 footage with Cinema Tools.

It a pity all the photographs and film are going to ruin in her basement. It is so shocking and actually very disturbing. Self interesting guru's like guttilla say they are doing it for her benefit, but we all know is is just self serveing. It just another ufo case were outside influences make the case less credible not regarding the evidence.

I find it very unsettling that Izatt has been insulated by Guttilla from all outside offers to co-study her material. When dB's offer to participate in this analysis was turned down or left hanging, Guttilla essentially rejected an offer by probably the only person in the entire world who is uniquely qualified to analyze footage like this!

For this reason, I am convinced that Izatts' story and footage is being mishandled BIG TIME by those who simply do not have the professional expertise to be in any way involved in this project.

I wonder if it's still possible for someone to contact Izatt's children to inform them that Guttilla is the WRONG person to be in charge of their mother's footage.

I think they really need to know!

Well, I certainly don't think I'm the only person who is qualified to evaluate the footage, and I also don't think that Gutilla is the sole gatekeeper to Izatt, but at this point, I don't think I'd expend the time or effort to getting direct access to her.
