Classic UFO Cases Reexamined

Free episodes:

An anniversary. 50 years since an incredible disclosure or 40 years of a goofy legend?
The story of President Nixon showing Jackie Gleason alien bodies from a UFO crash: an in-depth analysis, from inception to modern repetition.

The 1967 UFO photo investigations involving Dr. J. Allen Hynek are still one of the more fascinating chapters in UFO history. At the time, Hynek was working with Project Blue Book and was already known for taking a more scientific approach to the phenomenon. Several photographs that surfaced in Michigan created a huge media buzz and even drew attention from researchers connected to the Condon Committee and the informal scientific group often called the Invisible College. Intelligence analysts, including those linked to the Central Intelligence Agency, reportedly examined the images as well. Even though the case generated serious discussion and investigation, the final official conclusion ended up being “insufficient data,” which was a common outcome for many cases reviewed under Project Blue Book. It’s one of those examples that shows how complex and controversial UFO investigations were during the Cold War era.
