Chris O'Brien RIP

Free episodes:

There’s a couple that have been known to hang out near the ranch in wearing trench coats and smoking either cigarettes, or perhaps something else.
Absolutely my favourite Chris O'Brien moment on the Paracast was his hilariously amazed retelling of the Dogman leaning against a tree having a smoke. I can still see it now.

I found a number of the 100 Laniakea Supercluster facts to be very repetitive in the last thirty odd statements or so, but wow, talk about the awe inspiring cosmic history and cosmic design that we are miraculously a part of.

"Laniakea is situated in the vicinity of the Great Attractor, a gravitational anomaly that influences the motion of galaxies within its reach."

Now I know where god has been hanging out all this time (or Cthulhu or the Super Alien Creator or Kali etc. - take your pick).

I went back and found the original post way back in 2014. That's what I really like about this forum where you can go back and look stuff up instead of being a lazy ass. BTW, I noticed that you have already seen this along with Randall.

As someone who has had some pretty weird ouija.experiences across a period of four months of heavy ouija usage I would agree with this statement
While scrolling down to the third episode on Radio Misterioso and considering your experiences with Ouija boards Greg and Paul would agree with your opinion, as you most likely remember this. BTW, sorry, I thought your name is Brian.

Greg had a big influence on me and introduced me to other unique thinkers in the field, specifically, Bruce Duensing, who created some analogies for the paranormal that gave you new ways of thinking about it and humanity's relationship to the paranormal landscape. I value that time as a period of persistent thinking and engaging others about the phenomenon. @spacebrother had a very open ended way of approaching the entire problem opening up different approaches for how to think about it.

If not mistaken, I remember you posting some of Duensing’s material, especially in respect to a proposed DOD (?) concept of a hologram projector pointed back toward Earth to go up with one of Bigelow’s satellites.’ He was an out of the box thinker who like so many others that have slipped away.

This is the way Chris may have summed up Ufology in it’s current state. This episode to view is hit and miss, whereas you may need a subscription.

The Twilight Zone S03:E14 - Five Characters in Search of an Exit

I know the episode well. I grew up on steady diet of Twilight Zone, Night Gallery, In Search Of, A. C. Clarke's Mysterious World, Star Trek and Creature Feature on WKBD TV 50 out of Detroit on Saturday afternoons. The analogy of these five dolls who are living inside that charity donation barrell on the snow covered street and trying to understand their reality is a good one. They are utterly clueless as to the nature of reality outside the curved walls they are trapped inside with an opening up at the top that they always look at.

And this is where there's a meta consideration here as well. For I'm fairly convinced that the UFO, and the whole cabal of the paranormal is simply operating outside our capacity to perceive accurately. Sure we have these intersections, moments when the walls are thin between the worlds. But like the one doll that manages to climb out and fall to the snowy street, what business does he have in this other world. He's just someone else's pet or plaything. If only some of the alien abduction narratives are true then Fort was right all along and we really are someone else's property.

So in that way I see this episode somewhat similar to James Madden on that recent series Cosmosis UFO and a New Reality, and he is also on the UFO rabbit hole podcast that gave birth to this three part series. I think his ideas are interesting. He posits that in Plato's Cave analogy that what we may be seeing when we see UFO's is just the fingertip of something much bigger, again, beyond our capacity to perceive. Maybe it's better if we just stay content with living in our little earth tube and work on cleaning up our little ant farm instead of setting it on fire all the time.
