Anyone Heard of or know what "Rods" are?

A-Rod is a steroid injecting Dominican American who plays baseball and boinks hot famous chicks.

["Sky serpents" photographed at altitude or from space on the other hand are clearly something different from the conventional "rods". I've yet to hear a decent explanation for them.

i have never seen anything re: sky serpents...I will have to google it...[/QUOTE]

Damn ... just wrote a whole lot of stuff and just lost it ... oh well ... attempt no. 2:

I seem to remember (haven't been there for many many years :D) that the seminal site promoting the strange flying creature side of the rods argument is http://www.roswellrods.com

But as you are probably now aware young paddywagon that those strange undulating creatures are just artifacts of a video camera's demented imagination.

But ... there still may be strange creatures flying about or drifting about our atmosphere and that we are entirely unaware of.

Check out the works of Trevor Constable. In the 1950's Constable took some very strange/interesting photographs using infra-red film and which purported to show strange blobby forms (possibly alive??) floating around our atmosphere and totally invisible to us.

I can't find a really good site regarding Trevor Constable's "critters" as he calls them. You will find that he has a site dedicated to weather manipulation though (something he inherited from Wilhelm Reich ... of Kate Bush's "Cloudbusting" fame :D).

See here: http://www.rainengineering.com/

So you may have to google "Trevor Constable" and "critters" and see what you come up with.

Constable's critters seems to be rather similar to what Carl Sagan hypothesised many years ago, and that being strange blobby creatures floating around the higher reaches of Jupiter's atmosphere (and people think that we're weird for thinking UFOs are real!!! :D).

Anyhow ... I just came across an interview with Trevor Constable on a radio program called "Speaking of Strange".

If you go here: http://www.wwnc.com/cc-common/podcast/single_podcast.html?podcast=SpeakingOfStrange.xml

Its the January 17th 2009 program. Might be easier to wait until the page loads and then to do a search on "constable". I've not listened to it fully yet but as the blurb says it covers "critters", other strange lifeforms and weather manipulation.

Who needs rods when you have strange invisible blobby monsters floating around you??? :D

Hey slightly older person! This paddle-thwangle-parp likes the idea of blobby creatures floating about aimlessly in the upper atmosphere! Relatives of Mr. Blobby? "BLOBBY BLOBBY BLOBBY!" as he used to say....Thanks for the info...I will check out the links....

they used to refer to the filming of rods as "sky fishing"....you might google that too...i thought that rods have been disproven...

Air sharks can only be complimented by air potatoes so we could potentially have air fish and chips.

Dude...I think I'm on to something.

We need mad scientists to manufacture Air Sharks. That'll really give us something to talk about.
They're working on it.

I'm glad money is being put in the right places. Can this air ray take out sea gulls?

Can this air ray take out sea gulls?
I'm sure it could with the proper attachments, but it probably wouldn't be as fun as throwing them Alka-Selter tabs and watching'em pop.
