Here is part 2 to the presentation so people don't have to go searching:
I remember reading an early interview with LMH on cattle mutilations (this was before she started hanging out with the tinfoil hats). At one point, she was asked about the possibility of human mutilations. She refused to go on the record, which to me spoke volumes and led me to believe to that she thought they were happening.
 
I heard someplace that there were human mutilations that occurred during the Hudson Valley flap. It would be very telling if a legitimate researcher had access to and could run these wound patterns in the FBI database to see how many similar cases have been recorded over the past ten-to-twenty years.

If true, this presents a clear rationale for a government cover-up . . . and why disclosure isn't happening anytime soon. Perhaps the 'secret government' isn't necessarily the nefarious operation it is made out to be within UFO circles?
 
DNA harvesting.

I am thinking that they can probably replicate tissue, but need a direct sample first. Bone, Soft tissues, connective tissues, lymphatics, muscle, organ, all have different cell structures. DNA alone might not give them the answers.

OR, they could be making human sausages.

Regardless, if we are being visited by aliens who see us nothing more as cattle, it certainly changes the entire paradigm of abduction. At least it does for me, because if one alien who abducts you conducts experiments, and puts you back in your bed alive, and another might just as well kill you and eat you, then aliens do not value sentient life in this universe.

That, or we're not really sentient in their minds.
 
Is sentience a condition of having the ability make really amazing technology? If not, perhaps the creatures are not sentient. If they have no concept of alive or dead, killing us would have no meaning to them; it'd simply be a consequence of the experiment.

You could be onto something there. Especially if they are actually machines (or programmed biological constructs), they may be applying a behaviour pattern that was originally intended for a completely different purpose, or it may have mutated over time (adapting to changes in circumstances and inputs).
People have speculated that a non-sentient species could evolve advanced technology over a very long stretch of time, but given that evolution takes the path of least resistance that seems like a stretch. But a normal civilisation that was stupid enough to believe Minskyite hype about AI, or simply became extinct or reverted to savagery while its machines or constructs kept going as if it was business as usual, could well give rise to that sort of behaviour.

And there would of course be no reasoning with them, any more than you can reason with a traffic light or an arc welder.
 
Here's a thought.

Why haven't we found Deer Mutilations, and every other kind of animal mutilations? Is it because we don't care?

I'm wondering if we're blind to the fact that other animals could be grabbed up and mutilated the same way?

I had another thought about this guy. He was by himself, alone when it happened.

The same thing with Cattle Mutilations, usually it's one cow, singled out of the herd that gets tractor beamed up to the ship, vivisected, then dropped back to earth.

The thing is, I think that with Human mutilations, it could simply be a matter of being alone, out in the open, with no witnesses.

The other thing I find interesting is how fast the FBI got involved in the Sees Case. I would wager that at some point in our history, our government or some other governing body made a deal with other visitors that they could experiment on us humans in exchange for certain technologies or medical advances.

It's one of two reasons I can think of to hush all this stuff up.

You always pick off the stragglers of course, it's just common sense (any predator could tell us that, if predators were given to lengthy expository dialogue in the manner of Bond villains...which would admittedly be kind of cool).
One thing that troubles me about human mutilations as a phenomenon not distinguished from other animal mutilations: given that we are by now by far the most common large animal on the planet (which is why the future is Soylent Green, but I digress), shouldn't human mutilations be the most common? If they are then the perpetrators seem to take more care not to leave bits lying around.

I find myself thinking of Eleanor Rigby, but "All the lonely people, where did their organs go?" just doesn't have the same ring to it.

Now, I couldn't tell you how many people that is, but I imagine it's more than we think.

You're dead on about predatory behavior. One lone human out there in the wilderness, gets snagged by aliens, and is returned DEAD. They probably think if they were outside of the collective, that they were ostracized, and wouldn't be missed.

My thoughts are that there are some aliens that are ambivalent to us, and then there are the ones who think of us as cattle, and either experiment on, or outright eat us.
 
FYI, I was under the impression that in fact deer, sheep, rabbits, dogs, cats and a whole host of other animals had been found mutilated. I am not an animal geneticist but have heard that there are significant similarities between cattle and humans in terms of genetic code. They are probably also easier to track and capture from the air. I personally would love to hear a Paracast show on the mutilation phenomenum.

Just a thought that popped into my head after reading this:

I grew up in a classic rural area, on the old homestead carved out of the rocky central Wisconsin landscape by my Irish ancestors. My grandfather, who died in 1972, was the last one to operate it as a (not very) self-sustaining dairy farm, so my mother grew up tending to dairy cows and various other farm animals. We were also in the heart of deer hunting country, so always had whitetails raiding our gardens and cornfields, and deer hunters regularly combed through the fields and wooded areas.

We also were surrounded by a community of Amish who moved in sometime in the mid- to late-1950s, and of course they raised dairy cows. After my grandpa sold his cows, we started renting our fields out to the Amish as pastures, and so we were constantly in close contact with their cows and workhorses.

In my whole life growing up there, and in my mom's whole life, I/we never even heard neighbors talking (and our neighbors talked:)) about finding ANY kind of animals mutilated like this! These incidents just cannot be the result of some sort of natural agent, such as wild animals or flesh-eating bugs: if it were, we would have seen it occur at some point!

Anyway, I've always wished to have a close encounter, but this topic gives me second thoughts. Especially the fact that Mr. Ecker would rather not take up the topic in detail is telling. Very troublesome ... God help the victims and their families!!!
 
I've heard of several cases of deer found with their livers, and sometimes heart, ripped out that were associated with bigfoot sightings.

I'm of the mind that in theory, with the right technology, a farmer, or hunter could mask their presence to where when one of these things snagged a cow, they could document it with video, or shoot one or all of the occupants if they were doing it hands on.

I think humans need to be knocking these aliens off with extreme prejudice. It would send a message to whatever entities are killing our cattle, and people that we are not a species to be screwed with.

I used to feel that way myself, but I eventually concluded that any weapons I have access to are all but useless against whatever these things are. It's hard to counter an opponent that can shut your consciousness off like a lightswitch. I suppose you could rig all the cattle in your herd with explosive booby-traps. Maybe use an altimeter for a triggering device.

I've been doing a lot of research into this sort of thing, and I figured out that if you essentially put your head in a faraday cage, it would probably circumvent any psi-attacks.

I'm not sure if that would protect against a subsonic acoustic attack.

There have been a sizable number of deer mutilations over the years. I had a case in the mid 90s where two hunters found a mutilated deer in the crotch of a tree. I'll dig up the pics and post them. There was a weird case near Buena Vista, CO, back in the early 1950s, where a forest service worker found 15 elk and deer mutilated—dumped in a big pile. I've had all kinds of animals reported as "mutilated" i.e., pigs, sheep, buffalo, horses, javalina, coyote, rabbits and last month a goat—one of several over the years—that was reported "mutilated" in the San Luis Valley. I've heard of bear and bighorn sheep cases as well. Human cases are extremely rare and I shudder to think that any of the 30-30-32,000 people that vanish without a trace each year in the US are subjected to what could be called "classic" mutilation.

As for the observation that single cows are found, again not necessarily so. Occasionally there are more than one animal targeted. I've had cases where four or five animals have been hit from a single herd in one night.
