DETROIT—Henry Ford Health condemns the spread of dangerous disinformation connected to a “documentary” that falsely claims our nationally recognized academic medical center and research institute suppressed a draft of a research study because of its results.

The purposeful twisting of information in the “documentary” poses a direct public threat. We implore anyone who comes across these myths to read the facts below.

MYTH #1: “The study proves vaccinated children are 2.5x more likely to develop chronic health conditions than unvaccinated children.”

FACT: This draft did not prove anything. The very first internal review revealed serious flaws in the data and methodology, and the paper was abandoned. Anyone who conducts public health research would agree that comparing vastly different sample sizes over different time periods with inconsistent demographic foundations is problematic.

MYTH #2: “The study wasn’t published due to political reasons – or because of its results.”

FACT: The draft wasn’t submitted for publication or shared with the public because the data and analyses were flawed, and it’s irresponsible to share scientifically flawed studies with the public.

MYTH #3: “The study was hidden from the public.”

FACT: Reputable academic medical research institutions like Henry Ford Health subject research papers to stringent, internal, and scientific scrutiny that often points out issues with data, methodology or other flaws. It’s rare that a paper makes it to the scientific journal submission phase, and even rarer that papers get published. This wasn’t hidden; it was simply rejected for scientific lapses.

MYTH #4: “This is the ‘most important vaccine study ever.’”

FACT: Dr. Jake Scott, an infectious disease physician from Stanford who testified on Capitol Hill, wrote “…this flawed analysis reveals how thoroughly political theater has replaced scientific literacy in our public discourse.” The first internal reviewers determined the paper wasn’t scientifically sound—and it never made it past draft status.

MYTH #5: “The ‘documentary’ proves the health system is withholding the study.”

FACT: The film proved nothing except that we have rigorous scientific standards in place for a reason: to ensure the only studies we submit for publication come from research rooted in sound, infallible data that have passed our stringent review processes. We do not bend to pressure from those with special interests and will never compromise the standards that have helped make us a world-renowned academic medical research institution. Those are all proclamations that are irrellevant to the substance of the actual study. You'd know this if you had been following that case and the bigger picture. Any study or physician that dares go-up against big pharma get smeared and criticized — whether what they say is true or not. I do however give you credit for quoting bad counterpoint by someone else though.

The people who drafted the study are responding to it directly and pointing out why it stayed in draft form. You really don't like facts when they contravene your already made up mind. It was Henry Ford Health who created the draft and ditched it. they are being scientifically responsible in debunking the myths promoted by anti vaxxers who are using a flawed study as truth.

The problem with all you vaccine deniers

Because one questions one particular vaccine does not make one "all you vaccine deniers". I took the Shingles vaccine - before covid - I have since heard cautions that every vaccine now since 2020 has 'stuff' in them that you don't want injected. Not sure what to think of that.

If I ever get bit by a rabid dog I'll submit to the injection protocol, etc. Because I question the mRNA does not make me anti-vax.

All that said, there is substantial reasons to be very leery of current-day medical science, especially research standards.

Dr. Zervos has not supported the study, did not contradict Henry Ford Health, did not try to publish the paper independently, did not show up at Senate hearings to support the paper and has completely distanced himself from it.

The debunked myths stand as facts against the disinformation movie and demonstrate the willingness of people to believe in flawed evidence, flawed studies and flawed math to.promote lies about vaccination.

Are you saying the Health Center is wrong in their conclusions not to publish the flawed paper?

Where all the other hundred papers that coroborate these findings?

Where is the James Fox Type 1 diabetes article?

What would have happened economically of everyone for COVID and there was no vaccination and society stayed in shutdown while the health care system got overrun by patients of all ages? If it wasn't for the mRNA vaccine we'd still be working on recovery efforts, we'd be burying so many more family members and would have that many more people suffering from long haul COVID.

What would happen to all the children in the world if you pulled the vaccine for one of the most contagious diseases going - measles?

You'd be good with seeing hundreds of thousands of children dying in first world countries, clogging up the hospitals to go along with the 95,000 deaths annually in developing countries.

What you are arguing for here is sheer madness.
