David Huggins & Jim Moseley (Nov 15th 2009)

I think that's a bit harsh. Huggins is not Caravaggio, but his work seems to be in the tradition of Mexican retablos, naive-style paintings done to memorialize a personal miracle. There are a few in there that I find eerie.

    How fascinating. Quoted for truth.

Orgies? Did I miss something? That's not what goes on at tent revival meetings. It makes you wonder, doesn't it?

I spend a lot of time with teenagers and, at least on the intellectual level, there seems to be nothing mysterious about sex for them. I think the Internet has changed everything.

I think that worked well with Jim Sparks, who obviously had prepared an elaborate tale of alien encounters. When David asked Sparks a question for which he hadn't rehearsed, one could almost hear the brain cells fry as he tried to think of a response that wouldn't contradict the rest of his...

David Huggins & Jim Moseley (Nov 15th 2009)

Huggins' stories are absurd yet, as you say, he is very consistent about certain details. I'm curious about why people are compelled to tell this very particular type of unbelievable story. During the interview, Huggins himself at times seemed to acknowledge that this is all just silly, but...

Thanks! When you said this on the show, it made me stop and think. I've been married for five years and I don't remember what any of my old boyfriends smell like. Maybe I was just an inattentive partner. Of course, none of them were aliens.

I like him, too. Always good to hear him on the show.

Well, that's assuming a lot. It's equally possible that she wasn't up for sharing her husband with aliens. I'm not sure even a trained professional would make such a definitive statement about someone else's artwork, motivations, or psyche.

Why not have Farah Yurdozu on the show? According to the link, she was the co-author with Huggins, not Jim Moseley.

Fedor Emelianenko - Baddest Man on the Planet

Do steroids last that long in your system? I thought they had a temporary effect; that's why you have to keep taking them. Brock is scary. And the artlessness of his tattoos makes him even scarier!

Fedor is amazing -- but he needs to come to the United States and fight some real competition.

    July 12, 2009 - John Keel Retrospective - w/ all-star round table

This was an episode for the history books. I know he's been on multiple times, but I'd be interested in hearing more episodes with Jim Moseley in particular. His historical perspective and dry sense of humor are an irresistible combination.

    Have I become a jerk?

I've come to believe that it's no use talking about certain subjects -- such as UFOs -- to people that only have the first four circuits of their brains turned on.
