This is actually one of the most significant and still relevant pieces of media analysis, even if you only watch the first ten minutes it's worth your time. This is prophetic material. If human culture was roughed up by the new electronic technology that forever changed us; then, consider what you have seen since digital technology has bulldozed our society. We are living in a society that is overflowing with artificial truths that we collectively believe in, will vote for even if it's bad for us. Some will even kill for it. It's spooky.
The digital revolution has slaughtered our youth. We left them alone on the sacrificial altar of their cell phones and social media. Their enemies are now invisible. Talk about living in a culture of fear. We're only now starting to make laws to protect them. This is what we did with cigarettes after we advertised that narcotic to them. Now we just advertise beauty, sex, luxury and violence to them....and gaming. Thank goodness some of the new generations are returning to analog tech but haven't abandoned the Internet yet.

I think in an age where information is everywhere and is being collected constantly it's important you pick diverse sources of media using critical skills to assess what is being presented and by whom. So much of the news is bought and owned. You need to have international perspectives and a wide news net so that you are never limited to only one opinion. The most dangerous thing you can do is live in an echo chamber of only one channel with the same opinions all the time. That way leads to total brainwashing. Consider some of the delusions young people believe about themselves. The digital age is a mental health tsunami.
We should have listened to Marshal's warning a long time ago.
