UFO Paranoia

“A growing number of individuals who have served in military, intelligence or government institutions testify to the presence of extraterrestrial (ET) races that compete among themselves and with clandestine (human) organizations for influence over global humanity.”
This is the beginning of Michael E. Salla’s “Research Study #4” (May 30, 2003, www.exopolitics.org). Salla states that the paper analyzes the extent of military and intelligence branches of the government that have been infiltrated by different ET factions and the threat this poses to the sovereignty of humanity.
Salla’s paper is indicative of the paranoia that has accompanied certain parts of the “UFO Community” since the late 1940s. This paranoia, in some parts, stems from the contactee movement with people such as George Adamski and Howard Menger claiming that UFOs are spacecraft from nearby planets. Not only are these planets home to intelligent life, said the contactees, but this intelligent life appears human enough to mingle with us unnoticed.
For example, according to whistleblower Dr Jamisson Neruda, who claims to have defected from a clandestine organization embedded within the NSA (National Security Agency), there are a number of ET races intervening on the planet with multiple agendas where simple moral categories are insufficient to fully understand the consequences of their activities and influence.
It sounds like the stuff of nightmares: something other than human, living with us unnoticed, whose ultimate agenda is unknown.
This is not to say that “extraterrestrial infiltration” is the absolute answer to the thesis of this book…that there are “mimics of man” that can interact with us without most people being any wiser. However, right, wrong, or somewhere in-between, it is probably the most popular idea/theory addressing “the others.”
Aliens Are Hiding Among Us
Haim Eshed, who headed Israel’s space security programs for 30 years, claimed during an interview with Israel's “Yediot Aharonot” newspaper that Israel and the U.S. have been secretly in contact with extraterrestrials for decades. A respected professor and retired general, Eshed said the aliens signed a contract with us to do experiments here and help us understand “the fabric of the universe.”
Eshed made his surprising revelation in December 2020, and considering everything else that was going on that year, it was quickly forgotten after a few days of coverage.
Eshed confirmed that extraterrestrials have been among us for a long time and the cooperation agreements signed between them and world leaders included an “underground base in the depths of Mars” where Earth astronauts and alien representatives could work together.
When asked why he was revealing the information now, Eshed said that it was because the academic landscape has evolved and that he is in academia.
“If I had come up with what I’m saying today five years ago, I would have been hospitalized,” he said. “Today, they’re already talking differently. I have nothing to lose. I’ve received my degrees and awards; I am respected in universities abroad, where the trend is also changing.”
Scientists Say Human-Like Aliens Could Already Be Here
Oxford University scientists have been researching to see what aliens could look like and they have discovered that they could look just like us. One of the keys to unlocking the universe and the possibilities of aliens is an understanding of biological evolution and natural selection.
As it turns out, biological evolution should be the same across the entire universe, according to Sam Levin, a researcher in Oxford's Department of Zoology. This means that natural selection on any planet could have led aliens to look exactly like the human race.
The scientists at Oxford are the first to apply the evolutionary theory to predict what aliens could actually look like. One of the hurdles about making predictions of what the aliens may look like is that our only frame of reference is what we know from Earth and our experiences here.
We've all seen the now pop culture-typical humanoid extraterrestrial with the large head and big, black eyes. But considering that these beings are supposed to be from another planet, they still look like an exaggerated version of a human.
"Past approaches in the field of astrobiology have been largely mechanistic,” said Sam Levin, “taking what we see on Earth, and what we know about chemistry, geology, and physics to make predictions about aliens. In our paper, we offer an alternative approach, which is to use evolutionary theory to make predictions that are independent of Earth's details. This is a useful approach, because theoretical predictions will apply to aliens that are silicon based, do not have DNA, and breathe nitrogen, for example."
The team hypothesizes that alien life may be influenced by the same environmental factors that take place on Earth, where complex life arises from major transitions. These extreme events force a group of separate organisms to evolve in to one higher level organism, such as cells becoming multi-cellular organisms. This is where the knowledge of biological evolution comes into play. Levin explains.
"By predicting that aliens underwent major transitions, which is how complexity has arisen in species on Earth, we can say that there is a level of predictability to evolution that would cause them to look like us. Like humans, we predict that they are made-up of a hierarchy of entities, which all cooperate to produce an alien."
Levin went on to say that there are "potentially hundreds of thousands" of planets in our galaxy alone.
“We can't say whether or not we're alone on Earth, but we have taken a small step forward in answering, if we're not alone, what our neighbors are like."
Marcus Allen, publisher of the magazine “Nexus,” took Levin’s idea to the next level when he spoke at the 27th Glastonbury Symposium in August 2017. Allen told the packed audience that “extraterrestrials are now living among us and we may be oblivious to them.”
He claimed that there was a difference between aliens and extraterrestrials, and that both of them were already on Earth, but their existence has been covered up by world leaders.
"Aliens do not look like us, but ETs (extraterrestrials) do look like us,” Allen said. “There could be some in here now and you wouldn't know."
He then offered the suggestion that all humans could in fact be aliens who came to Earth from another planet in the far distant past.
"In a way we are the extraterrestrials."
