Everytime I go to ATS there's crap like this and many people buy into it, on the bases of nothing. I think I made a post in that thread. The only critical one I saw and I read through a few pages.

But what's remarkable to me is that (before it was revealed as a hoax) it grew to over 50 pages in what, just a few days! Yikes...

Just look at the Meier threads here. One or two are the longest I think, and at least one has been locked. Just as Springer has a large audience, so does crap in ufology.

That is so true.

I'm not intending on being too general when I say that a majority of the threads & members of ATS buy into such HOAX material; I'm simply saying that a large number of the threads I have personally read have been purely speculative. It's no wonder this one grew so quickly...

I think too many 'want' to believe it is so.

Not surprising, I used to post a lot on ATS. Eventually you realize that it's all crap there, the ridiculous threads get the most hits, and as long as their sites gets traffic (income) they will happily promote known frauds. There are people there that like to try and be objective but it's still possible to detect hints of bias in them. In fact I'm sure Realityuncovered.com has an ATS Watch forum, which is pretty sad. The two sites seem to be duking it out.

I have a chuckle at the Project Camelot ATS paranoia... they think (courtesy of who else, John Lear) that ATS is a CIA front used to spread disinfo.

Haha yeah I heard about that one. Typical paranoid mindset. The girl that does the interviews at project camelot is a pain in the arse, she literally believes every 'testimony' she records and you can hear her (yes I have spent a little time studying some of the videos, couldn't resist) trying to link all the other stories from other people together while she is interviewing. It's a joke, and it's only harmful to ufology when people start believing this crap.

Haha too true. Did you ever try and endure and of the Dan Burisch videos? 'Never let the truth come in the way of a good yarn' has never rung more true. The guy must be bored, unemployed, or on drugs to come up with story. It's pretty laughable.

It TRULY is one of lifes great mysteries that ANYONE believes a single word that loser says. I simply cannot comprehend the fact that people BELIEVE THIS BLATANT BULLSHIT ARTIST!

Of course Bill and Kerry lap that shit up. The dude is a complete screw-ball. Have you seen that video on youtube that supposedly is a security camera footage of Dan and someone talking about all this stuff. People claim that he is not making it up based on this video... (see below)...

Yeah that proves everything!! The guy is totally credible! That why he has a so called security camera in his office pointing right at him, in full colour (rare for a sec. cam), with no data on screen (date etc)...

Never seen that one before! not convincing in the slightest, at the beginning you can almost hear the gears in his head working out the groundwork for another adventure in the fantastic far away land of Burischisma.

But anyone that believes this, whether they are aware of it or not, is looking for escapism in some way or another. Maybe they are missing something in their life, this certainly seems the case with Dan Burllshit here.
