Who else has a sighting or paranormal event they want to share, Anyone?

The Pair of Cats

It takes guts to relate a sighting or paranormal event to others, due to the possible ramifications to one's credibility, professionally or personally.
Anyone else here on these forums wish to step up and relate?

I'd share mine, but I'm tired of talking about them, and already posted them long ago. I never went through the hiding in the closet phase.
Since Packrat is too tired and weary to relate, here's one of mine. Not a sighting, but a paranormal event nonetheless.

Many years ago i was working at a cafe, in a small town, outside the city where i live.
I was sitting in the kitchen, chilling out for a few moments before it got busy again when i saw what appeared to be a black mist hovering near the stove. At first i thought i may have been an optical type trick as the kitchen was covered in large white tiles and my gaze had relaxed so it could have been an illusion.
After trying to clear my vision the mist remained and at this point i became intrigued.
I thought to myself that this may be some kind of apparition. I then began to ask questions of this mist in my mind. After several responses the mist seemed to reply that it was looking at the stove wondering why nothing was happening. (the oven was on, warming and the stove top was covered in ready pots but not cooking).
Again i got the impression of an old lady wearing a crochet garment of some type, in my mind.
After i while i thought that i was indeed hallucinating and this was all BS. I thought that if this is in any way real i should test it. Give me something that i can verify something solid. The misty apparition then seemed to say "When the oldest daughter comes in, tell her that her youngest child should not worry about being teased as she will grow out of that stage eventually."
The oldest daughter i took to being the oldest of the owner of the cafe who, although a frequent visitor to the cafe, had not been in that day as indeed had the lady owner. I also knew that the oldest daughter, Donna, had a two girls.
About 20 minutes after this experience the owner and Donna came into the kitchen and i related the experience to them both. The description of the old woman seemed to match the description of their great auntie whose life revolved around kitchens and cooking. I told Donna what was given to me and she said that her youngest daughter had come to her the night before, crying, saying that the girls at her school were teasing her because they said she looked like a tomboy. Donna had then said to her "Don't worry you will grow out of that stage eventually."

Fascinating, Cats. That's really wierd, man.

Hell, it's anonymous, right? None of you people know who I am, so I might as well tell you. If I'm embarrased, I'll just create a new name on this forum and pretend to be a newbie.

I have extremely vivid memories, real memories, of being taken aboard a UFO with my family when I was 8/9 and another time when I was 18.

Yep.

I saw my jacket levitate once right in front of me. It rose up into the air and then fell. I was frightened out of my mind.

I have heard people call my name out loud, just like a normal voice, even though there was no one around. This was not a psychotic episode. Just a really loud voice saying my name. My cat even heard it. See? I have witnesses.

I saw a so-called "shadow person" in broad daylight while I was mowing the grass.

I have seen many many many entities countless times in my room at night either when falling asleep or waking up. These have been "hypnopompic hallucinations," I'm told. Is it a hallucination when they pull your covers away from your frightened child face and laugh at you?

I have had a UFO sighting, an extremely bright and white luminous ball flying a few hundred feet off the ground before suddenly dissapearing.

That's all I can remember for now.

I've had several ghostly experiences in my life and seen a grand total of one ufo (metallic object, daylight sighting). None of them are terribly dramatic however so I won't take up any more space here. If anyone's interested anyway, PM me.

Wow! Good stuff Chuckleberry!
Thanks for sharing. As i said it takes guts to share the strange and bizarre with others even on anonymous style forums such as this.

I'll go into more detail about a bizarre experience.

Some of you may suggest that what follows was a dream, since it happened at night after I had fallen asleep. Very well, perhaps it was a dream. I don’t know for sure. I will say that it didn’t hit me like a dream. It seemed real in some way, like an old memory creeping into the mind.

In third grade, I lived in Yancey, TX. It’s a small town about 80 miles southwest of San Antonio. We rented a ranch house from a man who owned many acres. There were a few houses on that land spaced apart by what seemed like miles. The area was secluded.

One night, I awoke in my bed with the stereotypical blue light seeping in through the windows and doorway. Then I walked out of my room and towards the front door, where I met my parents and sister along the way, all three wearing what they had slept in.

Outside, on the grass in front of that country house, there was a silver object shaped like a tear-drop turned on its side, with the pointy end facing away from the house. It floated and sort of bobbled a bit, as I recall. We stared at the object like zombies. I remember trying to exert control over my body, trying to break the coercion but, for the most part, failing. All I could do was move my eyes in the direction of my family, who stood with mouths gaping at the object.

Next I remember sitting on a bench along the wall in the typical, white, circular room, with my parents to my left and my sister occupied some place else aboard the object. I don’t recall seeing any grays. I have seen grays before, but I think that those may have been sleep paralysis experiences.

Of my family members, for the longest time none of them claimed to remember anything about the above. Recently, however, my mother claimed to remember the blue light. This rekindled my interest in this event, long ago cast into the dreams basket. Still, perhaps my mother doesn't really remember the blue lights. Perhaps she's only saying that because she thinks that I want to believe it happened? Who knows, she's probably wierd enough in a motherly sort of way to do something like that.

The reason I’m sharing is because sometimes it feels a bit therapeutic to tell others who may be willing to listen to such a tale.

Here's another one.

Throughout a lot of my childhood, I had experiences like what Ritzmann describes from his childhood, though not to the same, incredible degree. I used to tell my parents that beings visited me in the night -- and they did, or so it seemed to me. Usually, they frightened me so much that I'd just pull the covers over my head and pray to God for them to go away. But I'd sit there all night, too afraid to pull the covers away for another look, not knowing if the prayers had worked.

One such night, I decided to pull the covers over my head without holding them down, sort of testing the entity, curious if it could move the covers away by itself. And it did, it pulled the covers away and laughed at me. Then I became even more terrified and pulled the covers down and held them tightly, praying for God's help.

Oftentimes, I would run away and sleep on the floor in my parents' room. This would upset my mother because she was always afraid of stepping on me in the middle of the night. She'd always put me back to sleep in my own room and tell me it was just a dream. But I was awake, goddamnit.

Where do I start? I've had numerous very strange experiences, some of which I will never make public. A few I've already written about online. Rather than rehash them all here, anyone who's interested is welcome to check out the blog articles I wrote about these experiences:

Article 2

Article 3

They're quite long posts, so I'll understand if you don't want to read them. Most of my weird experiences have revolved around the UFO phenomenon, with a few apparitions and entities thrown in for good measure! Or maybe I'm just mad :D.

SHIT! This is the second time I have tried to post this experience only to have been kicked off the computer. The other time was a few months ago. I thought I would try it again but not now. I just had to get back online at 1am to bitch at people I don't know. It was a good one too with a witness.

It was the late 1980's and I was over at my friend's house. We liked playing the ouija board together, but it always worked better when her mother was playing it. One night she and her mother were on the board asking it stuff and I was in the same room but not near them.
I told them to ask it the official language of Bhutan. I am a total language geek and used to love to read encyclopedia articles on languages. Now, these average people in a suburb of Dallas, TX in the 1980's had no way of knowing what the official language of Bhutan was...or even that such a country existed.
Anyway, they asked the board and it responded "Drukke".

The board was correct but the spelling was out-of-date. "Drukke" was the only spelling that I knew at the time because my encyclopedias were dated a little. Later I found out the official spelling was "Dzongkha" and was the spelling used at the time of the story.

I never discussed languages of Himalayan kingdoms beforehand, they would never have been interested in hearing it. Makes me think the spirit or subconsciousness of the players used my head as its library. It read my mind.
