Burnt State
Paranormal Adept
Well my daughter needs to be able to eat a snack or have juice in class, during phys. ed. etc. when other don't in order to maintain a proper blood glucose level. She needs a safe injection site. She would prefer that all food sold in restaurants would have a nutritional guide so guessing at carb counts does not have to be a mystery. She would also appreciate nurses in ICU being able to administer insulin levels per doctor's instructions in emergency situations, but, achieving such equity levels are not always easy.
If you were reading and following along sensibly you would not make erroneous statements. I was not equating any groups at all but identifying a fundamental principle of equity that different people have unique needs. Please follow along and stop making the whole situation any more hopeless than it appears to outside observers.

(29 now) Never had any special treatment, always injected myself, no problem doing it out on the street if need be (though sitting down is more comfortable, but don't mind standing as I do it at the fridge anyhoot without sitting down), never actually been to ICU cause of... hmmm anything actually. You can wing it pretty well in regards to carb counts, in my experience at least. Though that might be due to the food culture here, as in food doesn't have any high-carb stuff added to it, so an average meal is 8 units give or take 2. Never expected anyone to take my Diabetes into consideration, it was my own burden and no one elses. Guess I was raised to take care of myself instead of feeling entitled to considerations, though it might be a cultural thing as well.
