Really looking forward to this one. Out of the Blue is the best UFO documentary ever made. Let's soak this one in folks.

I thought the show was excellent tonight - very informative and totally on-topic (which makes apes like me happy)

One issue I'm glad the hosts raised is the Chinese UFO video being fake. I watched a show a few years back that explained how the hoax was done (I can't recall the name of it) so when I first saw it on "Out of the Blue" it immediately set off a red flag for me. It's a shame too because I thought the movie is pretty good otherwise. I guess any sort of evidence or footage you put in a paranormal video runs the risk of later being exposed or debunked.

It baffles me that I still see current vidoes with stuff like the Adamski clips in them (and not in the context of discussing early ufo fakes either. They just run those horrible clips and the voice overs go on about "..People all over the world have been seeing, and recording, ufos since the 1950's..." That's when you know to run away from a video.)

I thought it was a good show too. And it was a guest that didn't make me sick! :P
I liked his sober take on ufology. I admire his drive to control his movie on his own terms, I hope it works out and he gets it on a major network. I hope he doesn't hold out on the smaller channels for too long though. It might become dated.
Wow, that trip to France showed some serious dedication to the subject I'd say...waiting around for Aldrin to grant an interview.
I was disappointed, though, when I went to the Out of the Blue site and realized that this 5th Anniversary version is not available. I must have missed that during the interview. Gene and David gave the movie so much praise I think I want to get it.

It would be quite a thing if Neil Armstrong came out with a death bed confession - apparently he keeps a super low profile. I'm not aware of any authentic eveidence that he has ever openly discussed UfOs. I had a larger version of this as my desktop background a while back:

Armstrong = badass

This has always puzzled me about Armstrong - from what I gather, all three Apollo 11 astronauts resigned from NASA within a couple of years of their return and he just doesn't want to talk about it. Personally, if I had set foot on the Moon, I wouldn't want to shut up about it until the day I died, especially since the manned space program evaporated after the Apollo missions ended - apart the routine shuttle hops, of course.

Very good show. Definitely not a kook. On another note, I ordered Out of the Blue something like a month and a half ago from Amazon based on the recomendations I hear around here. Still waiting...waiting, waiting, waiting...

Speaking of Corso, I was reminded of one thing he mentioned in just about every interview I've ever seen of (or written about) the guy and that's this business with irradiated steak. Apparently he ate irradiated food ONCE and it did him no harm, therefore he concluded it's a good idea? What? That's a tremendous leap in logic don't you think? Makes me call into question the possibility of other things he's said. Not to say that I think he's lying but anyone who's willing to take things at face value like that... I just find it incredible.

Awesome, show. Guy makes alot of sense, can't wait to see some of his future work! Btw Snake Oil, don't know if you knew but the site says they're looking for a distributor for the video. For the time being you can't even order it, perhaps you are stuck in the front end of that process.

Yeah, I saw it , but after the fact. Amazon sez they'll ship before mid September. Which may mean nothing...ah,well.

I'm sure Out Of The Blue will be a hot topic soon, but all my best to James here, can't wait for the next doco.
