The Roswell Slides Have Been Leaked Online

Carey & Schmitt seem to come from the branch of scientific thought where you can salvage your hypothesis if you are allowed to ignore enough disconfirming evidence.

the basic history of capitalism is about selling people something for more than what it's worth.
some do it with pizzazz and others outright swindle. almost all consumer advertising is engaged
in swindling of some form or another. some are are like the Onceler and are hardcore about their
evil profiteering for blood if need be, damn the environment and anyone's morality. some do it for
the sake of ego or just get caught up in that great moment of belief and proclamation and yes
there may be some money that changes hands in varying degrees. some dance to remember, some
dance to forget. Welcome to the Hotel California. you know how it goes with checking in and not
being able to check out. it the grand scheme of things, and over a million dollars a minute being
spent on war making globally this is small potatoes. those who gave their cash - good for them.

it's all a choice. and if they want to sue to get their money back then whatever. i don't see this as
a problem in that you really can't change people's belief systems, but you can try to without it
being about judgement. perhaps it is enough to highlight the need for due diligence amongst
researchers, but these are the common memes of Ufology are they not? Those who are really
engaged in the real pursuit are not participating in circus shows of any kind and are sitting in
meeting halls having mostly boring meetings without any UFO porn at all or believer sessions,
just detailed data reports and power points. they happen by invite only. Ufology is basically
whatever you participate in and those who pay for different parts of it will promote those parts.
those who engage, engage as they will. the rest just read whatever Isaac Koi is posting.

What do you make of this photograph? What do the archaeologists at the museum say about it?

Constance, the picture you posted is an enlargement that has been adjusted or enhanced. I've not seen a commentary of the 1896 photo from archeologists, but it is identified in the National Park historical documents, and has provenance. The tiny figure in the PDF of the picture is hard to make out details of, but a few thing can be noted. It's photographed from the left side at an angle different, with a a different camera and lighting conditions from the other known pictures of the body.

Carey and the other slides promoters overestimated the size of the body in their photos, and continue to insist it is between 3 1/2 to 4 feet tall. That faulty estimate is the core of their argument as to why they say the Palmer mummy cannot be the being in the Slides.

It's difficult to make much out of the figure in the 1896 picture, but the collapsed torso and the position of the head both match the body depicted in the Slides and the other two known pictures of the Palmer mummy. The size is consistent with the figures stated in the documents, 29 inches.

For easy reference, here's the documents that trace the discovery and transfer of the body to National Park museums:

How has the 1896 photo been "adjusted or enhanced," and who performed those adjustments or enhancements? Or are you just referring to the enlargements?

I find it difficult to see a resemblance between the body in the 1896 photograph [in either the original photo or the enlargements] and the body that appears in the slides. Is there actually enough information in the available textual records attached to either photographic representation to establish a common 'provenance' supporting the claim that the 1896 photograph and the 'Roswell slides' show the same body, establish a single identity? I haven't yet read the documents you link. Is anyone preparing a paper that will cite (and quote) the specific evidence in those documents that confirms the claimed identity? There seems to be some ambiguity here. Is this what Mausson and Carey are proposing at this point?

Here is a genuine enlargement, and the one in Jaime Maussan's "Two Bodies" article.

The Slides promoters are grasping at straws to try and create some uncertainty to salvage their claim that they found something anomalous.

You might be right about their motivation. Indeed you probably are right about that. Nevertheless, I don't see enough similarity between the body in the original photo and the body in the slides to be convinced that they are one and the same body.

Constance, I agree with you. IF it's the same skull and body remains, then it seems the skull had skin tissue [or something else] dried onto the skull that was cleaned off for display. The body was also cleaned, and it looks as if much of the covering was removed too.

The high contrast altered pictures were clearly manipulated to create as much of an "alien look" as possible, which is just ridiculous to be doing that. Strange, since I doubt they're suggesting it was an ET alien, right? The contrast levels were turned way up subtracting the gray-scale shading to very low levels, and that is how that "high contrast" effect is created. It removed a lot of detail from the original photos. They were willfully creating more of an "alien look", though that's just my impression and I don't think they were claiming that body to be an alien.

Maybe there's some psychology game going on with that idea, or I'm just thinking more "alien look" in my mind. :)

Constance, there should be pictures of the remains once it was donated or transferred before/after cleaning for display, so that might be a way to track it. I would think even back then there would be more photos taken to document the remains as it moved along the process for display. At least a before and after picture, or an intake photo and/or display photo.

Is there any other chain of custody with paperwork to track it from those original cliff photos?

Btw, Chris O'Brien had a Zuni? friend back in May trying to look into finding the remains too. I wonder if there's anything new about that?

I'm confident the excavation photo is of the same body, but even if it's somehow not...

The National Park Service documents show a 1930 photo of the Palmer mummy that matches the Roswell Slides body (taken at the Chapin Mesa museum and the 1956 color photo taken at the Montezuma Castle museum. The FOIA documents describe the caution used in preparing the body's transfer, and show exactly when it happened.

The evidence is overwhelming, surpassed only by the denials of Maussan, Carey and the other slides promoters.

The Photograph of the Grave:

Is part of the "Palmer Collection"

If you look closely you can see some of the items listed here:

Specifically the Bowl (Item no: 2411) which is situated next to the head in the Palmer photograph.

Here is a record of the Photograph itself:

Here is a description of the Photograph and what it shows (as in grave goods):

And here are some measurements taken by the museum staff:

Finally here is the other Palmer Photograph which shows the Mummy arranged with some of the artifacts found with it:

The only differences I see between the Photographs are the result of positioning and angles. To be very clear I see the same Mummy in both.

I find it truly amazing that any serious observers of the UFO subject continue to debate whether the dead creature seen in the "Roswell Slides" was really this mummy or that mummy or whether it came from Montezuma Castle, AZ, or some other venue and was displayed in this museum or that museum. Whatever the digital images supplied by Mr Adam Dew depicted there can be no doubt whatever that the whole production was a hoax initially designed to fool Roswell researchers and Roswell believers --which of course it did.

Both Roswell believers and some skeptics seem to have uncritically accepted the totally false background story contrived to link the supposed Kodachrome slides (whose existence was never proved) with Roswell. There is a wonderful parallel here between the 1947 Roswell Flying Saucer Crash myth and the Loch Ness Monster myth which originated in 1933 when a London man, George Spicer, claimed that he and his wife had seen a huge creature like a dragon or prehistoric animal dragging a sheep across the road into the waters of the loch. Why anyone should have believed Spicer or indeed why anyone should have believed proponents of the initial Roswell alien claims is incomprehensible. Yet of course they did, and in the following years various fraudsters and fantasists added to the Loch Ness claims and to the Roswell claims with new stories and faked photos of both the monster "Nessie" and of Roswell aliens. Since these beginnings both the Loch Ness Monster myth and the Roswell myth have been turned into multimillion $ industries.

The only reason that the "Roswell Slides" charade gained any currency is because it was falsely linked to Roswell and that it was strongly promoted by the "World's Greatest UFO Researcher Anthony Bragalia" --who was himself a fake. The alleged slides are no different from the dozens of other faked UFO photos and footage that can be found on YouTube. Take a look at this---

As for the Loch Ness Monster myth, it's surely high time that arch-hoaxers Lundberg and Irving came up with new video footage or photographs of the monster (perhaps dated 1933?) that could be sensationally revealed on the internet. What are you waiting for, John? You might even present yourself as Archie MacBraggerliar, the world's leading loch monster expert. There are plenty of dupes --both Nessie believers and Nessie deniers --who would probably swallow everything you told them.......

New Russian Alien Corpse.jpg
Holy grief! Not another dead alien? Ever since Jaime Maussan’s Metepec monkey “alien” (2007) it seems many celebrity ufologists have felt obliged to produce an alien body. First, it was Steven Greer with his tiny mummified Atacama Alien in 2013 and then “Anthony Bragalia” --World’s Greatest UFO Researcher-- with his so-called Roswell Slides (presented by accomplice Adam Dew) in 2013/2014. After the Mexico City nonsense in May 2015, even Linda Howe saw fit to claim that some small mummy which had once been exhibited in a museum in the Southwest was really a genuine alien.

And now the Russians seem to be getting in on the act with this supposed alien body fragment from Sosnovy Bor. Some of you will have noticed that the reporter on this, from www.express.co.uk (Daily Express & Sunday Express, a downmarket British tabloid newspaper/online rag) that currently specializes in sensational UFO/alien stories, is Jon Austin. He it was who called “Anthony Bragalia” (a.k.a. “Tony Braglia”, a.k.a. John Lundberg) the World’s Greatest UFO Researcher. This was before and after Maussan’s Be Witness event in Mexico City. See Jon Austin’s story on “Tony Braglia’s” amazing volte-face on the Roswell Slides:-
UFO expert who helped show 'first real picture of an alien' ADMITS it WAS a mummified boy

Whether it was Jon Austin or hoaxer Bragalia himself who claimed that he was a world-leading UFO researcher is unclear. Jon Austin is no fool and he constantly milks all available UFO/alien stories for maximum sensational effect so as to attract gullible folk to read the Express.

Here are a few of the other online headlines currently accessible at Jon Austin’s www.express.co.uk :-
