Someone Need These?

Ahhh ... the Chad/Isaac/Caret Drone thingies. They would look great on my coffee table along with the plate of nibbles.

Here's a funny thing though. I was playing around on the internet and offline trying to see if I could find anything new (or old) about the Chad droney things.

And then as I was playing around, I thought "meta-data". Why not take a few of these images and see what the meta-data if any would tell me.

Well I found a wee program to check out the meta-data for me, and I found a few sites that gave me (as far as I could tell) a copy of the original original pics to play with.

So I had a look at a couple and blow me down what did I find?

(I know absolutely nothing about digital photo meta data and all that photoshop stuff. Nevertheless, I still found this ... interesting)

The "EXIF" meta-data for one of the jpegs (a photo taken using a Minolta DiMage X) I downloaded gave me a date of creation of this "photo" as 2007:05:16 at 17:41:34 (16th of May 2007 ...)

I then checked the "XMP" meta-data and it gave the date of creation as 2007-05-20 T13:48:32-07:00 ... 20th May 2007.

Thats two dates ... 4 days apart. Hmmm ...

And just above this the "XMP" entry read,

<xap:CreatorTool>Adobe Photoshop CS2 Windows</xap:CreatorTool>

So ... if this is anything to go by, I think this guy took a pic with the camera and then added in the "drone" using Photoshop on his Mac (I found that in another piece of meta-data).

Case closed on the chad-droney-things??? Maybe
