Questions for Larry Holcombe, Author of "The Presidents and UFOs"

This week on The Paracast, we welcome Larry Holcombe, long time student of the UFO mystery, who is completing his first non-fiction book, "Presidents and UFOs: A Secret History from FDR to Obama." Just what do presidents know about the UFO mystery? Are they read in to the truth, or, as temporary residents of government service, not considered to have a "need to know."

Larry's book will be published on March 17, 2015, and will feature a forward by Stanton T. Friedman. But listeners to The Paracast can meet Larry now and ask him questions about his work. What is Mr. Holcombe's take on the story of President Eisenhower meeting with aliens at Holloman Air Force Base in 1955. Did this event happen or was is just some sort of cover up story? If it did happen, what did our government agree to.

Does Holcombe think the EBD is genuine like Friedman does (but others don't)? That is, was it a real briefing for Ike in '52?

Adding to DaveM's question above- Does Larry believe the U.S. govt is aware the abduction phenom is a real, ongoing program? Does he believe this program is some type of agreement between the govt and the intelligence responsible.

Does Mr. Holcombe believe President Kennedy and Marilyn Monroe were killed because either parties were getting ready to announce what they knew about aliens/ufos.

Some presidents, like Clinton, seem genuinely interested in the ufo question. If these presidents can't get answers due to 'need to know,' why don't they force the issue, such as sending a task force to Area 51/S4 and demand an answer.

Can Mr. Holcombe share, in his opinion, the most overlooked and/or unknown story regarding Presidents and UFO's?

This is less a question than an observation of sorts But there are other countries on this planet that have been on these UFO'S itineraries that have also reported sightings. Let's start with Canada, Brazil, Argentina, the U.K. , France. Germany, Italy, Israel, Egypt, Russia, China, South Africa, India, New Zealand, Australia and Texas all whom have had various heads of states in the past 60 years or so... and still nada... I wonder if all these guys are also kept out of the dark or are sitting on a juicy bit of gossip. That's a pretty good number of people that have managed to keep a secret over the decades and all we get are antedotal passed down stories over the generations. I have to question if there is anything there to begin with (in regards to what a commander in chief knows or doesn't know).

Q.1 Do you think other Government leaders have their own type of MJ12 groups which use ultra secret crypted system to pass on information regarding such events of so called predator encounters which subjects have been taken?

is there any evidence that president Truman Inspected the Roswell crashed saucer?

Did Jimmy Carter ever say (about his sighting allegedly having been Venus) that he had been aware of how atmospheric layers with different densities, mists etc. can make a star that's just above the horizon appear to flare up (= seem to come closer) or have reddish / blueish hues? Were these definitely and unmistakenly intelligently controlled movements and intense color changes (deep red to pure white to deep blue) he saw?

Has any other member of the crowd Jimmy Carter was with when he saw "his" UFO ever spoken about what exactly they had seen and if it had been truly anomalous?

If it was anomalous, do you think the colors red, white and blue could have been meant as a message for him?
("Hey, look, we know you're gonna be the president ...and you won't be able to get your own boys to tell you anything about us, tee hee.")

Or do you think he was told at least some of their more secret findings (by the Air Force, the CIA etc.) and that's what's made him essentially shut up and play it all down?

Btw I never saw any evidence Truman inspected Roswell material, though one fictional account portrayed him at the scene even before the crash occurred....
