Petri Dish- Just A Thought

Our universe is just a gigantic petri dish. We are an amalgamation of cultured cells and sometimes ET poke and check on us. They are only observing as we are observing lab rats.

I hear what you say and agree with you there swatcher, sounds quite plausible to me.

Sometimes I wonder who might be looking in on ET though.

Often when I hear or read things about just how small and insignificant we are in the grand scheme of things, I must say I dont really agree. This isn't meant to sound egotistical but imo that way of thinking is irrelevant.

Wherever we are, from the micro to the macro surely has no relevance to what we are capable of achieving or perhaps more importantly imagining, given that we are where we are on that scale. Obviously our brain capacity comes into play here. What I mean is, although there are obvious physical limitations at this scale, what goes on in our heads is as limitless as the universe we inhabit. We dont have all the answers of course but at this stage of our evolution I think we are doing ok.

Was it Gray Barker that said UFO's are here to make us think Gene?

Whoever said it I think was probably right. We have only been around a short time, again in the grand scheme of things, and an even shorter time dipping our toes into the universe around us. Maybe we are experiencing the terrible two's.
If that's the case then I think it's time to take the "Dummie" out. ;)

or maybe because they are too darn big to fit??? any of us fit into one of the petri dishes in our lab?;)

Sorry, I couldn't resist. :o There are some great old sci-fi stories based on similar ideas. I'll see if I can find one or two online. Interesting thought, anyway. Thanks.
