Greg Cisko has been an avid student of UFO phenomena since the late 1960’s. He specializes in a historical perspective of the UFO (now UAP), including government programs such as Projects Sign, Grudge, Blue Book, as well as the Condon Committee, Stringfield Crash Retrieval research, ultimately relating that history to current UFO disclosures of today.

He was a combat engineer in the U.S. Army from 1976 to 1979. After serving, he held positions for 40 years at Fermilab, one of America’s premier particle physics laboratories. As a serious amateur astronomer, Greg has logged hundreds of hours of sky observation since 1970 and he continues to be a regular participant in the amateur astronomy community. He uses his experience in astronomy and astrophotography to aid in his investigation of UFO cases.

Greg joined the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) in 2014 and is a now a MUFON Benefactor. He currently holds the position of MUFON Archivist & Historian. He is the acting National Director of India and Sri Lanka, as well as a member of the MUFON Photo Analysis Team. Greg also helped redact the Stringfield diaries for MUFON’s Aquarius Library in 2024–2025.

While investigating UFO sighting reports, Greg has a rigid process and high standards to maintain a scientific approach to the investigation of unidentified aerial phenomena and related supporting evidence. His philosophy is that regardless of how good a story is, it’s just a story until fact and/or hard evidence is presented to validate a new finding or theory. His other interests include aviation, aircraft dynamics, avionics, flight simulators, manned space flight (past and present), model rocketry, radio control aircraft, chess and fishing.

1. After all your years investigating cases and researching the history of the phenomenon what do you feel is the most likely origin of UFO's? Do you favour the ETH, or an interdimensional hypothesis, or something else?

2. High strangeness, or the Oz factor, seems to be the most bizarre features of close encounters with ships and entities. What do you feel is the source or purpose of this aspect of the UFO mystery?

3. Vallee said the complete analysis was never done on the Capella database. But there have been countless databases made across the history of ufology. What has Mufon learned from its database? Have we learned anything at all from UFO case databases?
