Calvin Parker is a great story-teller, and here he presents more evidence about his 1973 UFO abduction in Pascagoula, Mississippi.

We also invited his publisher, Philip Mantle of Flying Disk Press, to join us on this weekend's episode of After The Paracasf, where he speaks about the background of Calvin's two books, hypnotic regression sessions with Parker, and other topics.

After The Paracast is an exclusive feature of The Paracast+.

Sadly, Calvin Parker has landed squarely into the "Was he lying then or is he lying now?" zone. Previously, I was somewhat confident that he and Hickson had actually undergone an unusual experience, and maybe even an abduction by aliens, back in 1973. But with the recent embellishments on the original story, I've become skeptical about the entire incident. To me, the Calvin Parker of 2019 comes across as a latter day Philip J. Corso. I obviously can't know for sure, but it looks like he has decided to to take advantage of the recent upsurge of interest in UFOs and profit from it, possibly for the sake of his heirs, or just to buttress his place in history, or both.

As for the recent surfacing of a batch of witnesses to the 1973 alleged incident, it is extremely difficult to view them as legit. To me, a rational person cannot help but suspect that Mantle is behind their convenient appearance out of the blue.

Also, the alleged revelation of a second abduction in 1993, which happens to involve the exciting detail of a physical confrontation with the aliens, seems like something manufactured to make his story sexier.

Again, everything I've said above is just opinion and conjecture. And I'm still open to the possibility that Parker himself has not not perpetuated a hoax, and that he is an innocent victim of post hypnotic suggestion.

Have not listen to this show yet and sounds interesting. On U.S. Army Col Corso , he was a combat veteran of Italy and France Campagins during WW2 who had a joint top clearance which most folks forget. He would not risk his clearence for everday folks and no doubt took his real knowledge of the UAPs to his grave. The other stuff no doubt was just for wider audience . Just watching Joe Rogan Experince who should be on the Paracast Show and these contactees are separate kettle of fish . Tend to think the genuine type don't want to be bothered with all the stuff rather keep it too a few close friends. Always said Bob Lazar was on the money about the tech and whatever it is elements our society would freakout . Yes , many folks think its all a load of bollocks until it happens to them. Whatever they are they seem to own the sky and space for now. Like NASA has mentioned last week life is most plausible around our universe and finding it will be sooner than we think . :)

The late Col. Corso is old news, and his credibility has long been suspect. We first talked about that over a decade ago on The Paracast.

Good interview. Good show. Randall. thanks for pressing the question on the “I passed out” statement in the police tape.

Calvin said that when he met with Bud Hopkins in 1993 he was skeptical that he could be hypnotized. It seems Calvin had forgotten that in February 1976 and in October 1973 he had undergone hypnosis regarding the 1973 abduction. The 1976 hypnosis session was initiated by William Mendez the co-author of Charlie’s book UFO Contact at Pascagoula. (If someone wants to dig deeper into this case, this is a book I’d recommend). While Charles Hickson is listed as a co-author of the book, it was primarily written by William Mendez. Mendez takes a cautious analytical approach to the case. Along with interviews of Charlie and Calvin, Mendez brought in John Kraus of the Kraus Hypnosis Centre. Kraus was a certified professional hypnotherapist with 25 years experience and apparently no previous tie to the UFO topic.

The Kraus hypnosis session with Charlie Hickson yielded the familiar experience inside the craft that Charlie had basically described from conscious recollection. The session with Calvin did not include the more recent revelations about the female alien, etc. In a conscious interview Calvin had told Mendez that as he was being brought to the craft “it starts getting closer to the craft - I can’t remember a thing there, I just blacked out.” Calvin’s hypnosis session was consistent with this. As he reached the doorway his visual recollection stopped and he did not regain it until he was being brought back to the river. His only recollections during his time on the craft were some memories of a whining sound and a clicking.

A portion of the 1976 hypnosis session with hypnotherapist John Kraus.

Calvin: He’s just easing over. He ain’t said nothin’. They-they approach me and they take me by the arm - one of them. Takin’ me aboard with Charlie.

Kraus: What’s happening now? Don’t be afraid.

Calvin: I see black dots - I remember a bright light - a real bright light. Then I see nothing.

Kraus: Where’s the creature?

Calvin: I can’t see him.

Kraus: Has he got a hold of you?

Calvin: He’s got a hold of me.

Kraus: What’s happening?

Calvin: I remember going in the door - the opening, then everything gets real dark.

Kraus: Can you feel anything?

Calvi: I don’t feel nothin’. I have no feelings at all - just a whining noise.

Kraus: What are you thinking about, right now?

Calvin: I don’t have no thoughts.

Kraus: Can you still hear?

Calvin: I just hear a whining noise.

Kraus: Can you smell anything?

Calvin: No I don’t smell nothing - then I hear a ‘click’ noise and see bright lights - and I have seen the outside.

Kraus: What’s happening? What’s happening now? You’re right there.

Calvin: I’m facing - I’m facing the river. I can’t move though.

This is very different than the wild elaborate experience aboard the craft that Calvin described in the 1993 Bud Hopkins hypnosis session. In that Hopkins session Calvin described being strapped down and encountering the female alien. He said she cut him and caused him to bleed in several ways that left blood all over his shirt. There was a possible blood transfusion. He dodged balls of electricity that were bouncing off the walls. There was a mirror with faces in it who were watching him. He got into a fight with the female alien, bashing her head against the mirror until black stuff came oozing out. In angry retaliation she scratched at his eyes until he was bleeding around his eyes. She then killed him and he had a near death experience seeing angels. He returned to his body, feeling he had done so to hunt her down and kill her. The aliens then escorted him out to where Charlie was standing at the pier.

Needless to say, Charlie described a very different experience on board the craft. And it’s interesting to note that no one noticed all that blood all over Calvin’s shirt.

You're very welcome. I'm glad somebody else has the patience to wade through the abduction stuff. I know I should, but I just don't. The most interested I got in abductions was when Mack wrote Abduction. I've got some kind of mental block about it. It's one thing to interview someone about it, and another to actually "go there" in my own mind and take it seriously. I'm still at the same place I've always been. I believe there's something strange going on, and I believe people see alien craft in conjunction with missing time. So why if the last piece fits the puzzle, am I still so reluctant to complete the picture?

Indeed Gene. Col Corso story was a excellent podcast show and keep his stuff in the grey basket. Remember the crazy UFO/UAPs field has number of researchers who been very close to alphabet networks so keep an open mind on material being produced. Listen to the show and found his story interesting and who knows what's going on in these abduction/ encounter cases. Make your own mind up and read all the material in books from all sides of the political spectrum that have footnotes that can be traced back to the sources.

Listen to large library of interviews on the Paracast Show and keep a non bias open mind approach to the subject. One of the best books to refer back to as you listen to these Paracast Shows for a foundation source is Barry Greenwood and Larry Fawcett 'UFO COVER UP' released in the 1980s with footnotes and lots of Army and Military Police Officers eyewitness accounts for those who take a casual interest in the subject.

Until all the US and other nations including their space program organizations release all their classified documents its lots of speculations , science and documented eyewitness evidence. Which is fine as it keeps the UAP subject alive as we live in a capitalist society. One good element in this field moving forward is the US authorities acknowledged the unknown objects (UAPs ) are real.

Good on George Knapp and his fellow researchers instead of 'bitching' over material take a open mind approach in what they are trying to achieve. Which many folks already new and time more information from the World Governments was released even though some elements of society would freak out as mentioned on Paracast Show by some researchers in the past. There was one thing that Parker said that got my attention. In his description of the 'robotics', he described a conjoined type of leg structure and a skin that was 'towel-like'. Way back when as a kid, I can recall reading about a case, I'm pretty sure it was in Frank Edwards' Flying Saucers Serious Business, that recounted a truck driver in Chile or Peru who supposedly spotted a saturn-like disc resting on the sand between the highway and shore, and describes being taken aboard. He described a very similar being - with two legs that seemed conjoined as one, and with a skin or covering that resembled a towel. The other thing I recall is that he 'hugged' the creature to convince himself that this was really happening, and the thing released a slick substance through this 'skin' in order to escape his embrace. This seemed so removed from the usual taxonomy of alien types reported that for some reason it stuck with me, and hearing Parker describe the same thing got my attention. These are the only two cases where I've heard that type of appearance described. Is it possible Calvin read the same book? Eh - maybe.

Calvin was 19 when he had that encounter. I suppose it’s possible that he read some UFO books. But he doesn’t evince much knowledge of the subject beyond his experiences.

Found it - it was not Frank Edwards, but UFO's Over the Americas, by Jim and Coral Lorenzen (1968). A whole chapter was dedicated to the interview with the witness. Also found an online reference to the case. Again - it was the similarity in description of the occupants, which seems unique compared to other cases.

Driving northwards to Lima on the Pan American Highway, "C.A.V." saw near Lomo De Ballena a grayish, shining metallic disc hovering a few feet over the desert; he stopped and ran toward it. An opening appeared and there emerged 3 "mummy like" beings about 5 feet tall, with joined legs and a single large foot. They had no faces, only a sort of transparent jelly with a bubble in the middle. They wore no clothing, but had a "towel-like" skin. They asked, in English, whether they were in North America; on being told that it was South America, the voice switched to Spanish. They asked C.A.V. to "take them to his chief," and said they came from another star and concerned about atomic energy dangers. They said they were asexual and reproduced by fission; during the conversation, one actually did so. They invited him into the craft, which was transparent and contained no machinery, and took him on a flight down the coast. C.A.V. repeated the story under hypnosis.

Thanks for bringing-up this information. I'm not sure what conclusions we can draw from it, but it does seem to be worthy of noting the similarities. Like I was trying to get across ( badly it seems ) on the recent Kevin Randle interview, is that even in the absence of verifiable scientifically valid material evidence, the sheer number of UFO experiences is still sufficient for any reasonable person to conclude that alien visitation is a reality.

The only problem with this latter situation is that although its reasonable to believe that the sum total of all UFO cases contains within it individual accounts of observations of alien craft, without verifiable scientifically valid material evidence that corresponds to those accounts, there's no way for us to be sure which specific accounts represent alien craft.

This situation I would also submit, is not accidental. There has been a concerted effort by the aliens to keep verifiable scientifically valid material evidence out of our hands. To me this suggests an intent on the part of the aliens not to engage with humanity at large. Any ideas as to why?

Impressive research! You must have quite the ufology library.

1973; Pascagoula UFO Encounter/Abduction (Audio Clip)

Charles Hickson was with Calvin Parker on the night of their close encounter on the Pascagoula River on October 11th, 1973. In 1974 Charles Hickson made a 7" vinyl record on which he told his story. Philip Mantle's friend and colleague in Greece Stefanos Panagiotakis has a signed copy of this vinyl record. Stefanos obtained the record directly from Charles Hickson in 1981.

1973; Pascagoula UFO Encounter/Abduction (Audio Clip)

This clip is from the secret tape that convinced the police that Calvin Parker and Charlie Hickson truly believed they were abducted by aliens. (4min, 30sec)

The police at the time would interrogate people in separate rooms, then put them in a common room and record the audio, most of the time this recording would reveal the truth, they would hear them talking about what they said and corroborating their fabricated story, in this case.. not at all!

Partial Transcript listen to the Audio to hear more...
CALVIN: " I got to get home and get to bed or get some nerve pills or see the doctor or something. I can't stand it. I'm about to go half crazy."
CHARLES: " I tell you, when we're through, I'll get you something to settle you down so you can get some damn sleep."
CALVIN: " I can't sleep yet like it is. I'm just damn near crazy."
CHARLES: " Well, Calvin, when they brought you out-when they brought me out of that thing, goddamn it I like to never in hell got you straightened out.
"My damn arms, my arms, I remember they just froze up and I couldn't move. Just like I stepped on a damn rattlesnake.
"They didn't do me that way."
CALVIN: " I passed out. I expect I never passed out in my whole life."
CHARLES: " I've never seen nothing like that before in my life. You can't make people believe."
CALVIN: " I don't want to keep sitting here. I want to see a doctor."
CHARLES: " They better wake up and start believing ... they better start believing."
CALVIN: "You see how that damn door come right up?"
CHARLES: " I don't know how it opened, son. I don't know."
CALVIN: " It just laid up and just like that those sons of b*tches -just like that they come out."
CHARLES: " I know. You can't believe it. You can't make people believe it."
CALVIN: " I paralyzed right then. I couldn't move."
CHARLES: " They won't believe it. They gonna believe it one of these days. Might be too late. I knew all along they was people from other worlds up there. I knew all along. I never thought it would happen to me."
CALVIN: " You know yourself I don't drink.
CHARLES: " I know that, son. When I get to the house I'm gonna get me another drink, make me sleep. Look, what we sitting around for. I gotta go tell Blanche... what we waiting for?"
CALVIN (panicky): " I gotta go to the house. I'm getting sick. I gotta get out of here."
[Charlie leaves the room]
CALVIN: " It's hard to believe . . . Oh God, it's awful... I know there's a God up there..."

1973; Pascagoula UFO Encounter/Abduction (Historical Marker)

This was a very interesting event, as it happened just as major drama caused the removal at the time of the only other state marker. I commend the city of Pascagoula and its people for not believing.. for it happened.. but supporting Calvin Parker with this Marker.

June 24, 2019, Historical marker commemorates reported alien abduction
PASCAGOULA, Miss. (AP) — A historical marker has been placed near the river where two men in southern Mississippi said they were abducted by aliens in 1973.

News outlets report the city of Pascagoula dedicated the marker Saturday at Lighthouse Park.
Charles Hickson and Calvin Parker said they were on the shores of the Pascagoula River when what appeared to be aliens pulled them onboard a UFO, examined them for about 30 minutes and then returned them to Earth.

Both reported the event to the sheriff’s department and were checked out at a hospital after it happened Oct. 11, 1973. The story has become known worldwide.
