I talked to Gene last night and he is still at Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa, Az.

They are treating him for a blood clot in his arm as well as continuing intravenous antibiotic for the infection in his back. Supposedly he will get a culture test results back today and they can switch to a particular antibiotic better suited to treat his infection.

No idea yet when he will get to come home, but he will have to undergo physical therapy to help him gain strength to walk.

I will keep everyone updated as I learn more.

Gene,

Just wanted to send a little sunshine your way 🌞. I hope each day brings you closer to feeling better and stronger. Your resilience and spirit are truly inspiring, and I know you’ve got what it takes to bounce back soon.

Take all the time you need to rest and heal—your health comes first. Looking forward to seeing you back in action when you're ready. Until then, know that you're in our thoughts and we're cheering you on.

Wishing you a smooth and speedy recovery,
Jeff
