Les Stroud (survivorman) Bigfoot encounter

A while back on the Joe Rogan Experience, Les Stroud from survivorman talked about a weird encounter in Alaska when he was doing a survival session.

I'm pretty sure it was on the 11/20/12 he talked about being alone in the woods with noone around for miles and he heard something on two legs walking through the woods and making loud sounds sort of like monkey noises.

Just wondering if anyone else has heard of people with a good reputation that have had encounters that seem plausible?
 
I may have posted this elsewhere in the forum. But I watched one program where they were interviewing witnesses, and one guy's story really got me. He was a public school science teacher, taking his family for a hike in an Oregon State Park, I believe. Walking a trail, he and his family were hit with a sudden strong smell. Some time later, his kids started playing on a couple tree's that had fallen over the path, and the teacher had taken an opportunity to walk up a slope to higher ground a take a look around. That is where he saw a sasquatch in the bush, just standing there looking down at his family. He hurried down and took the fam a roundabout way back towards where they had the car parked, before telling his wife what he saw. Now, it wasn't the story that hit me, but his reaction while telling the story. When he reached part about seeing the creature, he started to cry while thinking back on that moment. He said something like "the moment I saw it, everything I thought I knew about science, the wilderness, reality in general, came crashing down on me.
So, while this fella is no celebrity- he had an all too real human reaction while telling his account. It certainly left me knowing that he believed what he saw was the elusive creature, and not a bear.

That is the only legitimate reaction i think anyone should have upon seeing any of this stuff -- all of reality and the universe immediately turned upside down. That is, if you're of a the idea that the paranormal is just a bunch of stories. It should be traumatic, weird and life altering. It shouldn't be a story you tell with a bit of a shrug and a chuckle, as is more common.
 
The Les Stroud incidents can be found on Youtube btw ;-) One was in Alaska. Les, is actually planning on doing a Survivorman Bigfoot episode, or two, which could prove VERY interesting...
