Chris and I had fun talking to author Linda Godfrey. It became especially enjoyable for me when Chris and Linda swapped monster stories.

Not to dredge up an ancient thread but recently a video with an audio recording was posted to You Tube with a VERY similar sound recorded...and from relatively the same area (about 70 miles NE) of where we heard the sound 20 years earlier. The sound is very hard to hear on video, clearly very far away, but it does give one a sense of the volume of such a sound traveling from so far off.an experience I had with two friends over a decade ago between two lakes in Northwestern Ontario, Canada. ( N 49d 29' 41.3" W 93d 01' 29.8 ... to be precise).
