Is this real???

Looks like a sculpture - there's a new 'art movement' where the artist creates bizarre looking creatures. I'm not sure if the artists are deliberately trying to mislead people or if it is part of the art itself to mislead people...

I'll see if I can find a link to some more examples...

...this artist created a 'Feejee Mermaid' as well as other mythical creatures:
