I am prepared to be convinced and while I will give him every chance my belief you have to almost be a fan or at least have an understanding of Dr Who to be a good Doctor.
 
Honestly, I had sort of grown tired of Dr. Who. There's just so long they can sustain a show, even with recasting the lead, before it runs out of steam. Rather, it jumps the shark.
