I had an interesting idea about the show I'd like to share with you and the community. It's not at all original, but rather a possible step in the evolution of the show stemming from your (I feel very successful) listener roundtable show.
Basically you have a panel of listeners who get to hear the show before everyone else, like 4 people (plus gene and/or dave), then you give these 4 people 20 minutes of talk time to discuss the show and express their (possibly polar opposite) viewpoints, critiques and grievances.
You could present this segment as an extension of the show, or make a roundtable feed. Hell you could probably even charge for the roundtable feed. (I'm a web developer if you wanted advice on this).
I think it would be good for the segment to have people from different beliefs and backgrounds so they don't all nod at each other, but have debates. Even non-intelligent hair-pulling fights could be fun.
Of course I have my own agenda in presenting this idea.. I'd love to be on the panel! You can read some of my forum posts to get an idea of my angle on things and let's face it, who doesn't want the chance to be on the Paracast?
