Not paranormal ... but this group has a lot of knowledge ... our dog got hold of it and I can't assess the extent of injuries, obviously, from what I've read - the best shot is to get it back to where we found it, cover it with some leaves and see in the morning if the mother fed it - if not, get it to a wildlife rehabber as vets arent usually successful with these cases.

Anyone have any other ideas?
 
Keep it, feed it goats milk, google it, its a nice little thing, as it gets older, chop its feet off, you wont lose it then.

Serously be fun to rear it, only needs fed twice a day, and left in a box quiet.

Talked to a re-habber, going to let the mother have a go ... if she doesn't pick it up by late evening, I'll bring it in and then take it in to the professionals tomorrow morning.
 
I picked a racing pigeon up of a coastal track a little while back, shatter thigh/leg, couldnt take off, i kept it overnight, put it up tp the rspca centre, they said it would be fine, they would just let it loose when it healed.

Very cool ... I picked up a book in a chiropractor's office not long ago ... story init about a chiro who had the nack for snapping necks of birds who'd flown into windows, *pop* and they were off and flying - he even got a hawk on its way, ... said it was pretty scary since this thing had a huge wingspan and talons, the handler held it and pop! after three such adjustments in a week, off it flew

I wish chiropractic were so successful in my case ... as I'd love to fly.
 
I would just suggest getting some kind of nutrition into the little guy fairly soon, whether you return it to its mother or not. Young animals are like human infants--they need frequent feedings.
