Most of you have subscribed on a month-to-month basis.
For that to work, you need to keep $5 available in your PayPal account when the recurring payment is made. If it's not there, PayPal will retry a time or two, a few days apart, and then cancel the membership. Your member status is restored to a regular status, meaning you no longer have access to the Paracast+ area and the ad-free version of The Paracast and the After The Paracast podcast.
That's not something we control, since we depend on PayPal's management system for recurring/subscription payments.
But if you want to resume your membership, just subscribe again from scratch. Go to your member control panel (the one that shows your member name) and choose Account Upgrades from the drop-down menu. Once you subscribe, you'll have full access to Paracast+ all over again. And there's no danger of a duplicate payment. When a prior membership cancels, or you end it by cancelling the recurring payment, it's history. There are no backup payments; it starts on the day you subscribe, even if it's the second or third time.
You can also use this setup to upgrade your membership (but you have to cancel your existing membership first to switch to a different plan).
I hope this clears things up.
P.S. Don't forget our price increase that will be in effect as of 11/16.15. Please check this post for more information: The Paracast+ — 1st Year Update
