Hospital experience.

Skilled Investigator
From Feb 13-18, 2008 I was at the University Of Washington being treated for a rejection episode. I have a kidney/pancreas transplant that my body started to reject. It took several months to diagnose. My regular kidney specialist did not have that much experience with this type of rejection ( apparently it isn't that common) so she referred me to the University Of Washington Medical Center.

My condition was getting worse. The treatments were not helping at least that is what the daily blood work and a special antibody test were showing until the morning of the 17th.

I don't know what time I went to bed but close to the time I was getting ready to go to sleep, on Feb 16th, but fully awake I was slightly startled by a man, dressed in what looked like a blue iniform, just kind of popping into my room from nowhere. Right after I saw him I was out. I remember feeling like I was floating while a procedure was being done. This was not scary and I don't remember any pain or that many details about the procedure.

The morning of the 17th my creatine level (kidney function ) was better. The antibody test however showed that my body was making more antibodies which in this case is a bad thing. My electrolytes were off to the point that I needed IV potassium. The doctors were not sure what to tell me and did not know why my potassium was so low. I am not 100% sure if the potassium level corresponded to this event but the creatine level did.

My boyfriend told me that he had a very real UFO dream that same night. He described it as a cigar shaped UFO and felt like he was flying. I found this a very interesting coincidence. He did not write down all the details and even though he told me all about it in the hospital this is all I can remember.

On Feb the 18th my early morning blood draw was one or two hours early. I noticed the time and mentioned it the the man taking my blood but he didn't seem too concerned. He drew only three vs four vials of blood and left a huge bruise. He said three vials should be enough after he couldn't get any more. It was like my body was not being cooperative but this isn't that unusual.

A few hours later the nurse was looking up my blood test results and found that they were missing. She made up a report. They never did find the missing blood and I had to take the blood tests again.

Even after I was released my antibody tests were not good even though my creatine has been about the same as after my experience on the 16th. This is not an isolated incident where I have had conflicting blood/medical tests and have been mysteriously helped. I wish I would have documented some of the strangeness years ago.

That sounds like a pain.

Ugh. It reminds me of when my mom was in the hospital on dialysis. Not fun.

I hope you're feeling better.

What do you think the significance of the man was?

Considering everything else in my life that has happened I suspect that the blood getting lost was not an accident. I assume you are asking about that man vs the "man" dressed in blue that just showed up.

My kidney function, although not normal, isn't anywhere near the need for dialysis so for the most part I am doing fine. I had a year and of half of that crap prior to my transplant and it isn't any fun.

The purpose of this thread was to share what I thought was some kind of help from who knows where and not to just bitch about my medical problems BTW.

From Feb 13-18, 2008 My electrolytes were off to the point that I needed IV potassium.

I occasionally have to take a potassium supplement or else I get cramps in my hands and feet. Several months back I attempted to participate in a medical study. I went in and had a very elaborate physical performed and by the end the lab technicians were looking at me like I was some kind of freak. They were not allowed to disclose any information for some reason, but they did tell me I couldn't be used for the study and that I needed to go to a doctor to be checked out. I never went...haven't seen a doctor in over 20 years, but I did discover that my saliva pH is close to 9, which is very alkaline.
Hmmm...just had a flashback. You know that scene in Planet of the Apes where the doctors are treating Taylor for his bullet wound? When I was about 5 or 6, I was in a motel with my grandparents. They turned on the television and that scene was playing. I had never seen the film. I just remember seeing these unusual looking doctors with a man on a table and completely freaking out. I hid under the covers, too scared to twitch, until I fell asleep.

QUESTIONS for ALLY :
==============

"...on Feb 16th... I was slightly startled by a man, dressed in what looked like a blue uniform, just kind of popping into my room from nowhere. Right after I saw him I was out. I remember feeling like I was floating while a procedure was being done. This was not scary and I don't remember any pain or that many details about the procedure."

Questions:
=======

a) Blue uniform? Was is like a hospital orderly or nurse uniform?

b) Was it somehow "stranger" than just a man in a uniform?

You've implied that maybe there might have been some mysterious government involvement in your life. If it were a covert government agent sneaking in to get a sample, wouldn't they just wear a hospital nurse costume?

"The morning of the 17th my creatine level ... was better... The doctors were not sure what to tell me..."

c) Do you suspect this mysterious man in the blue uniform was responsible for your change the next day?

"My boyfriend told me that he had a very real UFO dream that same night. He described it as a cigar shaped UFO and felt like he was flying."

d) Does your boyfriend have any personal "experiences" that may point to something more just a dream?

"On Feb the 18th my early morning blood draw was one or two hours early... A few hours later the nurse was looking up my blood test results and found that they were missing. "

e) Do you suspect something curious? or nefarious? Did you suspect it at the time? Or later?

When the man popped into my room it happened so quickly that I couldn't make out too many details about the uniform if it even was a uniform. It didn't look like any of the hospital staff's uniforms that I could tell.

It was stranger than normal only because of how he just appeared. He did not feel or seem like an alien if that is what you are getting at.

The person who took my blood early on the 18th was an actual person that works in the hospital because I saw him a few weeks after I was released for some follow up tests.

What seemed off on the morning of the 18th was the time of the blood draw and how difficult it was to get the blood out of my arm that not only hurt but left a huge bruise. Also I was paying closer attention to this guy because of this so maybe I felt something off. When the nurse said that my blood tests were missing I told her what his name was and what he looked like. She did not respond or react so I assume it is probably documented who tooK my morning blood draw?

I think the lost blood sample from the 18th ended up in some other lab and how it got from point A to point B I do not know.

I think whatever procedure that was connected with he man dressed in blue helped my kidney function. Something did and it wasn't what the doctors were doing by the fact the the antibody test showed otherwise.

Other than being around me my boyfriend is not an experiencer. He told me that the dream felt much more real than any dream he has ever had so who knows on that one. Either he had a UFO experience or was tapping into what was happening to me on another level.

Skunkape,
What you weren't allowed to see what was going on with you? Unless you signed something indicating this I would raise a stink and find out what they were all freaking out about.

I avoided doctors as much as I could for many many years while I was a type 1 diabetic. I had to deal as much as I could with my doctor fear when my kidneys started to have problems.
