Bombing another civilization out of existence has nothing to do with defending yourself. Killing journalists and ambulance drivers has nothing to do with defending yourself. Those are all acts of genocide.

You would think post-Holocaust Israel would be sensitive to what genocide is. But instead it's the exact opposite - just dispossessing people of their lands and then bombing them into rubble. How does bombing all their universities and places of worships and water supplies and poisoning their soil further the cause of any culture's right to exist? I'm talking Lebanon and Palestine here.

I am very sensitive to the shootings that happen to synagogues and Jewish schools. it sickens me, as does Nazism in all its past and current forms along with all racial and religious hatred. In the same way, everyone's church and place of worship should be seen as sacred and no violence should ever be visited on places of peace and sanctuary imho.

It is a very bizarre world we live in. I really don't believe that people in Israel really know what's going on, based on all the Jewish protestors we see globally supporting Palestine and rejecting Israel's current Zionist ways. I know that within Israel there are many anti-zionists and pro-Palestinians.



I read this when it came out about 30 years ago. I had no idea just how systematic, detailed and prolonged the oppression was then. As someone who believes all global genocides must be critical learnings for our planet I was shocked at how Israel could be doing what it's been doing to Palestinians for so long.

And for those properly keeping track it was Zionist Militant groups in the 1940's who first started using the terrorist act of car bombing as an act of urban warfare killing citizens indiscriminately. So who is really the terrorist state?

Like it says in the video — targeting journalists is a war crime, as is the IDF's genocidal excess retaliation. Besides — If what you dubbed the "terrorist state" has done qualifies as "terrorism" — the Israeli State military has outdone those "terrorist" acts by orders of magnitude. Notice that I DIDN'T say "Jewish". Plenty of Jewish people are opposed to that war. This video from 2 years ago explains it in no uncertain terms . . .

I agree Randall I am sick and tired of the word Jew meaning Israel in ignorant peoples minds.
I am also annoyed when someone in the Terrorist state is killed they are a victim but when an Israeli citizen is raped or murdered they deserved it because they are Jewish.
However journalists provided they are not reporting propaganda should be off limits for both sides.

Not very many jewish protestors but plenty of others. Unfortunately, thanks to the power of Israel's supporters here, those who oppose atrocities in Gaza are often inhibited by the "anti-semite" smear tactic.

Apparently not enough to affect policy. From what I've read the Left has practically disappeared in Israel. The Right has a veritable monopoly on power.

As someone who believes all global genocides must be critical learnings for our planet I was shocked at how Israel could be doing what it's been doing to Palestinians for so long.

In fact this is not at all surprising because zionist power here, in the only Superpower, is almost overwhelming. Given unconditional support from the US, Israel can get away with almost anything. Very few people in government have the guts to defy AIPAC and similar groups. Recent zionist policy is the result.

It is almost as if Israel exists in a separate reality, utterly immune not only from unfavorable policy but even criticism, no matter how justified. This is an overwhelming national disgrace. I've long applauded those with the courage to oppose current policy but they're in an uphill fight.
