I've still got a copy of Harryhausen's 'Film Fantasy Scrapbook' that I bought in 1981 with money I earned mowing yards. I used to ride my bike to the drive-in and sneak through a hole in the fence to watch those flicks. Here's another great scene I saw there...the transformation scene from 'The Howling.' It's a close contest between this and 'An American Werewolf In London,' but I think I prefer Rob Bottin's work over Rick Baker's. I think this was the last film I saw at the drive-in. It's a scrap-yard now.Skunkape,
I adore Jason & The Argonauts, the whole Talos scene profoundly freaked me out as a kid. Good call!
