After years of watching David Paulides' videos about wilderness missing persons, this newly posted video supplies some fascinating insights:
(43 min.)
In a nutshell, some of the lost-then-rescued survivors report "suddenly becoming disoriented," being unable to figure out where they were, and what direction to go in.
One survivor reported "losing his shoes," which is common in David Paulides' reports.
More than that, they report experiencing hallucinations. But not just delusional hallucinations, rather, seeing people who were other hikers or rescuers, and being unable to communicate with them, as if the lost victim had become a ghost.
Very much worth the time to watch this one.
