Experimental Research Possibility

Wonder-man

Paranormal Novice
Please take this proposal seriously. If this experiment is completed successfully, the hosts of this show could bring a radically different perspective to both their understanding of what constitutes the paranormal and the approaches they might use in future interviews, as well as their choices of guests and topics.

The one common denominator in a majority of paranormal cases might be described as "an altered state of consciousness." That is so vague and general as to be almost meaningless except that often witnesses exhibit symptoms of awe, confusion, fear, sometimes in the form of specific phobias or insomnia, withdrawal, and what is now categorized as PTSD ...post traumatic stress disorder...literally they have been scared to hell and back in layman's terms. Data collection for most UFO/ET events consists of witness interviews, collection of physical data, if any, and instrumented data when possible...including photographs, radar images, etc.

One of the problems with this approach is that it tends to be reactive rather than proactive. Furthermore, the phenomena seems quite elusive and hardly ever available on demand except for a certain select few and their claims are viewed with great skepticism by the current hosts. (I don't believe I've heard your opinion about the data surfacing at Jim Gilliland's ranch in Washington State. That could be another candidate for Chris's list of UFO hot spots or places where the phenomena tends to occur with great show and frequency.) But one approach could be to gather instruments, witnesses --yourselves--and go to one of these places and see what shows up. That seems rather obvious and Chris is already living in Sidona so let's say he's got that approach covered if we include his video capture experiment being set up in the San Luis Valley.

Here's my suggested route for your "seeing is believing" experience and experiment.

Step One contact Dr. Stanislav Grof who was the "hero" and favored mentor of
Dr John Mack. He is probably aware of Dr. Mack's work and has done much to
explore the boundaries of human consciousness on his own via several other methodologies.

Working with either Dr. Grof or one of his associates develop the following
consciousness trials and record the results using Chris and Gene as the subjects
in this experiment. Dr Grof developed what he has termed "holotropic breathing," as a drug free means to enter altered states of consciousness that seems less demanding than using yoga or various forms of meditation. He may also be in a position to legally administer DMT and LSD in clinical doses and clinically supervise individuals during their experience with these drugs. I mention this because these would constitute additional areas of exploration were the holotropic breath approach not be sufficient to move you to an altered state where you could "meet ET" or whatever the beings are that seem to show up when human consciousness is under the influence of those substances.

Aside: you are aware of the Monroe Institute and their hemi-sync technologies
are also used to alter consciousness, but that work does use "suggestion" and therefore the results could be considered "suspect" in some sense. I think that it might also prove more expensive than the approach being suggested above...depending upon how the idea of "an experiment" is approached with them.

Experiments with DMT have shown that quite often the subjects became aware of beings that seemed to reside and have on going histories in this other realm of consciousness, that the subject entered as a result of the use of the drug(s). If the condition lasted long enough the subjects were able to converse with these beings and get to know them. The early conclusion of the experiments was that these beings were real and could impart information about the realm they "lived in."

If either Gene or Chris have serious objections to using any form of "artificial stimulus" then let us see how far the holotropic breath approach can take them.
Naturally, the subjects would be recorded as they describe their experiences once
they have entered their altered states. As part of the experiment the beings in the other realm would be asked to make some sort of display in this realm to demonstrate that they can access it and thereby show that the experiences of the subjects was non-illusory in character. That display might be recorded via photographic devices and scientific instruments. One of the requirements maybe
to leave some sort of specific physical traces as part of their "proof of presence
here."

My position is that ET can be accessed anywhere, at anytime, by those that have the conscious "disposition or pre-disposition" to do so. This might be one way of demonstrating that. Alternatively, the subjects could go to a hotspot and using either the holotropic breath or the drug approach determine whether location becomes a contributing factor to the intensity and content of their altered states experiences.

I would think you could find out if this were "doable" and within reasonable cost by just making a few phone calls.
