On Thursday, February 20, we'll be recording an episode featuring "Alien Hunter" Derrel Sims.

According to his bio, "Derrel Sims The Alien Hunter is the world's leading expert on alien abductions. His 38+ years of field research has focused on physical evidence, and led to his groundbreaking discoveries of alien implants and alien fluorescence. As a former military police officer and CIA operative, Sims has a unique insight to the alien organization which he believes functions similarly to an intelligence agency. Sims is also a compassionate and skilled therapist who has helped hundreds of alien experiencers all over the world come to terms with what they've witnessed."

Hey, that bio has enough meat from which to ask lots of probing questions.

1) I know you stated you and your son have been abducted by aliens in past years and you believe they are picking families based on something specific. Do you have any idea what they are looking for?
2) In working with families involved with abduction, what do you tell them to provide any comfort if any. Also, do you give them any suggestions to help prevent the abductions?
3) On a side note, your look for the show reminds me of Wyatt Earp heading towards the O.K. coral. Has anybody ever told you that?
Thank you Steve-C. (I used to be the Lurker according to Chris :)

What's with the many ex-military and ex-CIA operatives in the UFO field? Seems to me they are often forwarding the most puzzling and quite often outrageous theories?

Where did you learn to be a hypnotherapist? Did this have anything to do with your work for the CIA?

@ufology: Undoubtedly. :D

Do you screen people in your questionnaire to determine if they have ascribed supernatural or paranormal causes--of a non-UFO nature--to prior hypnagogic and hypnapompic states of paralysis and lucid dreaming? In other words, if an abductee is already predisposed to engage in false attribution, doesn't this demote their credibility in your mind? Relatedly, what methods do you use that would capture evidence for confabulation and false attribution?

What data do you have on the proportion of abductees who claim little to no prior knowledge of aliens, UFOs and abductions, etc., versus those who do? If you do have recorded statistics on this (if you don't, then why not?), do you find other abduction data that correlates more with one class of abductees (those with little to no prior knowledge e.g.) as opposed to another?

Please explain in detail the strengths and weaknesses of your research methodology. If you've revised your methodology over time, on what basis have you done so?

What are your conclusions regarding these abduction cases? Please explain the ways in which you could possibly be wrong.

What do you consider the strongest evidence for abduction based on your own research?

Thank you,
Eric

1) When you get a report that someone has been abducted by aliens what's your protocol? Do you encourage them to first seek psychological counseling before you investigate them further? How can you tell the difference between someone who is hallucinating, destabilizng or has actually had an encounter with an alien species?

2) How can we be certain that any identfied implants are actually from outer space as opposed to an anomalous accretion in the body? If you are completing some type of mass spectrometry what kind of isotope analysis do you do and who pays for it?

No questions for this .. just going to sit back and listen to this ... hehehehe its going to be good :p

Question for Derrel can you please ask:

Derrell what exactly happened with the John Edmonds case in Arizona. Can you give us as much detail as you can and was it true that Bigelow got involved in the case. Allegedly there were alien tissue samples and fluids that were collected and studied by Levengood. When will anything be done with this???

Question,
Implants seem to be often mentioned in these abduction cases, in his years of experience what is his view on these, a specific case that actually has scientific testing of the device found in a person and what was the conclusion? I have seen photos of these apparent alien devices sitting in a dish after being removed, could real, could be fake could be man made, surely there is an actual comprehensive report on one of these devices proving or disproving the object.

I just noticed Burnt State has also asked on this topic, maybe he can talk on a specific case with a specific report?
Thanks Gene and Chris

Question,

How wide spread does he believe the alien abductions spread world wide? It seems from cases I have looked at these aliens are often trying to mind wash the event from the abductee. Does he think for example 1 in 100 people have been abducted if they know it or not or 50 in 100. Is this being hidden, covered up and happening significantly more than we are aware?

Also I always wondered...

Abductions are often reported by people are driving in their car, what happens to the car is it taken into the craft also?

As a former military policeman and CIA operative....I assume you are armed at all times. When you encounter or have encountered these abductors...how do they react as you fire upon them?

i love you bob, anything to do with guns and shooting and you are right there, if there were men in black, you would be their first recruit, god help bigfoot and any of the lil grey fellas, altho i agree it would be indisputable proof.

kinda reminds me of wil smith in independence day in the desert when he catches one, '' smack, welcome to earth, phew you stink buddie''.

Maybe sic Don Ecker on the guy's bona fides?

Derrel is not as bad of a guy as some suggest. He helps people for free. He is a former cop and served in the military. He has a bizarre theory on the alien topic but in my personal opinion he is not a bad guy or a hoaxer.

he is a showman, his way of earning a crust, nothing more nothing less, i have respect for his and others acting ability, i dont know how they keep a straight face on camera, good job it isnt live.

physical evidence, and led to his groundbreaking discoveries of alien implants and alien fluorescence

thats why you see him on every cover of any and all science journals, err hang-on after consulting the tealeaves, strike that.

Someone has to ask the obvious question...no one else seems to be able to. I think they are afraid of the answer.
Thats the ONLY thing I miss from the former host. He wasnt afraid to piss off the guest with tough questions. He knew his shit and wasnt taking any from anyone.
One would think with both Chris and Gene living in the Southwest where gun ownership is high, and gun carrying is commonplace...the questions of were you armed, did you shoot, why didnt you shoot, how was the ___ affected by the gunfire, etc..would come up pretty quickly.

Aye its a fair point, and a right good earner, or a death sentence, depending on whose bubble you burst, i mean maybe an agency really does want to keep a secret, secret.
