Newly released entries from Anthony Fauci's diary show that the U.S. aerosolized the Ebola virus, then sprayed the lethal virus into the lungs of monkeys in Maryland; a heinous and dangerous study that NIAID helped pay for and design it.
Fauci was furious, not at the brutal experiments on the monkeys or aerosolizing Ebola in the U.S. - but because the results showed the v*ccinated monkeys had worse lung damage than the ones that got no shot.
Because of the findings, leaders in West Africa worried people would think the Ebola vaccine America was about to send them was harmful or useless - meaning Fauci would possibly lose that opportunity to send countless vaccines to Africa. (Almost every monkey that breathed in the virus still died a painful death in a method the Army has been using since 1995.)
The experiment happened in 2015 at the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID) in Frederick, Maryland:
- Four vaccines,
- Groups of four monkeys each,
- Exposed to aerosolized Ebola at Fort Detrick under a NIAID task order.
- The point was to see whether shots built for ordinary Ebola still held up if the virus was driven into the lung.
Fauci’s notes:
- Almost every monkey that inhaled the aerosolized virus died - v*ccinated and unv*ccinated.
- V*ccinated animals had worse lung damage than the unv*ccinated controls: necrosis, inflammation, and fibrin that the controls did not have.
- Fauci recorded that the two unvaccinated animals had no lung inflammation.
- He wrote that the idea “the v*ccine can do harm is now causing people a great deal of concern,” and that circulating the data “could indicate a vulnerability.”
- He said it should have been classified for v*ccine-confidence.
- The Defense Department had already noticed more lung inflammation in v*ccinated animals than in unv*ccinated ones, “even though almost all the aerosol-challenged animals died.”
- The 2015 run was meant to test whether that finding was real.
➡ On March 7, 2016, after he learned the results, Fauci wrote that USAMRIID’s people were “idiots,” that the work “should have been a classified experiment,” and that it “never should have been done in the first place.”
➡ He had to go to the NSC the next day, he wrote, “to pick up the doo-doo and explain why this is an irrelevant experiment.”
➡ He also wrote that embassy officials and governments in Liberia, Guinea, and Sierra Leone were “going batshit” and “went bonkers” because the United States was planning v*ccine studies there and wanted to use a (VSV) Ebola shot as a ring v*ccine if new outbreaks flared.
➡ The fear on the African side, as he recorded it, was that Washington might send a shot that looked harmful or useless.
NIAID’s own later review found classification was never even raised while the study was being designed and run. Fauci only wanted the lid on after the lungs looked bad.
He emailed a subordinate and ordered “the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth” about whether NIAID money went into the aerosol challenge studies and who at NIAID was responsible.
“Do not tell me what you think I want to hear,” he wrote. Anyone who hid the facts, he warned, was “gone.”
NIAID’s Dr. Michael Kurilla wrote back that some people at DOD feared the finding “may derail filovirus v*ccines permanently.”
Sen. Rand Paul says NIAID paid for it, helped design it, then Fauci argued the results should have been classified once they threatened a v*ccine rollout.
“These records show NIAID was funding risky research with the Defense Department, and when the results turned problematic, Dr. Fauci argued they should have been classified.”
The email demanding answers went to Fauci’s longtime special assistant, who has since taken the Fifth before the committee.
“Americans deserve to know what kind of risky research their taxpayer dollars are funding.”
Paul is using the file to push his Risky Research Review Act: which is an independent board of outside scientists who would have to approve these types of experiments before any federal dollar pays for it.
Does Fauci's anger over results that went against the v*ccine prove he knowingly risks the lives of people so he can push his product?
Fast Fact on how those monkeys were k*lled:
Ebola usually starts like a bad flu: fever, headache, weakness, sore throat. Then it turns into severe vomiting and diarrhea that drains the body of fluid. People get intense abdominal pain, chest pain, and muscle and joint pain. In the worst cases, the blood vessels leak, so there can be bleeding from the gums, eyes, or gut, bruising under the skin, and organ failure — liver, kidneys, and shock.
Patients are often conscious for this. They are exhausted, terrified, and in pain, and there is little that can be done to stop it once it is far along. Death, when it comes, is usually from shock and organ collapse, not a quiet fade.
