I've been getting the CoastZone email newsletter, and it is indeed the distillation of banality. At the end of each daily email, they include a "quote of the night" that always cracks me up, and I wanted to share.
"The number one thing that you can do to help yourself see nature spirits...is if you don't have them already, is get yourself some strings of miniature Christmas lights and place in your bushes if you like to see Gnomes and Elves, and in the trees if you'd like to see fairies. And the reason for this is the Nature People all resonate to different color frequencies. For example, Gnomes resonate to the colors green and red. And what they'll do is use the energy from those lights as well as the background twigs and leaves to help them come in more clearly for you to see them." --Christopher Valentine
Isn't that just the very summit of airy-fairy? Or should I say fey?
Nature People? If you'd like to see fairies? Resonate to different color frequencies?
What a bunch of pseudoscientific bullshit. It gives pseudoscience a bad name.
I decided to start a new thread for these, because every day, there's a little polished turd in my mailbox that makes me cackle with glee thinking about the glassy-eyed, drooling, average Coast listener that laps up this drivel, and can't wait to hear the next crystal-selling, psychic dog medium or channeler bringing the word from beyond the grave.
So, even on your worst day, hopefully, you'll be able to get a kick out of this, that will lift your spirits, or at least allow you to get in touch with them. If your guardian angel will allow it.

Why the venom? It's just an evenings entertaiment on the ole radio. Or to quote a current movie. "Why so Serious?"
Just wondering at the venom. OH well, I guess it's a holdover from being in a couple of paranormal groups on myspace. They went belly up but before they did I noticed there was an awful lot of anger whenever the paranormal was discussed. Just never understood it. But then again I don't get my faith or beliefs from steven greer or jerry falwell. I think for myself.
However, I have often wondered about fundies be they atheist or religous. Why would a dyed in the wool athiest care since all the fairy tale folks will dye off in the next glorious leap of evolution? Why do the religous care since when the wicked die they will get theirs? Oh well, questions for another thread and I don't want to hijack this one. Just thought it was a "little" to intense. But again that is free speech and yep I am all for it.
