I believe that the point the article was making is that the families in fact do know what happened to their loved ones and wish people would stop making up conspiracies about their deaths when clear facts are in place and have been from the start, outside of the two outliers. Those two both took a gun only off into the woods and no cell phone or personal items making their personal agenda rather, and quite sadly, very clear.
